Thank you Winston Churchill for bringing Britain into WW2! Without you, Oswald Mosley might have ascended to power, and then things would be really bad! (massive sarcasm)
@MartinTraXAA Oh thats right, it was all Germanys fault! As always, Germany is evil and whoever shes fighting is good! Yeah, I dont like Churchill; he was a disgusting, drunk, smoking, freemason who betrayed England, led her to war against her own family, and caused the deaths of millions of people. He destroyed the British Empire and became a dictator far worse than Hitler was ever alleged to be. And I dont smoke anything, I take care of my body.
@JCistGottMitUns Just that Churchill didn't really join the circus before Chamberlain went belly up. Chamberlain was the one in charge when the UK went into war with Germany, although he was reluctant. I never said it was all Germanys faul, I mostly lay the blame on the Treaty of Versailles opening up for extremist ideologies.
Also: To say Churchill was a dictator far worse than Hitler is purely ahistorical.
@MartinTraXAA "Extremist ideologies" is a code word for actual solutions to the problem. Chamberlain was nowhere as corrupt or crazy as Churchill, who even beforehand had quite a lot of influence, enough to nudge Britain into war (naturally though, there were plenty of conspirators working the same agenda)
Aso: To believe that Hitler was a bad, evil, murderous dictator is just a reactionary result of WW2 Allied propaganda, and continued exploitation by Jewish filmakers.
@JCistGottMitUns Yeah okay, you just showed your hand. After taking a look at your nick (Gott Mit Uns, written on German WW2 military belt buckles etc.), your channel and especially that last sentence you seem like someone with a fucked up mix of wannabe-communism and nutjob conspiracy theories who makes up for his ignorance by having opinions falling from his mouth like shit from his arse...
I try to avoid such idiocy for the safety of my mental health and wellbeing.
@MartinTraXAA Im sick of your kind of trash. Rather than face real debate, you resolve to insult and slander your enemy. You just showed your hand by using such foul and base language. You are beneath me and unworthy of my attention, and so I refuse to drag this nonsense out any further. Its impossible to have an intelligent conversation with your kind, because thats the last thing you want. Well you can keep your head in the sand, amount to nothing, and die unfulfilled. Good day.

And honestly, I think you could have straight dark and evil music over this video, but it's actually scarier with this song.

@Flyiestarter Civil war in Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia and the bombarding of Serbia. And he liked a song from an ex-yu band which makes my assumption true.
The beginning of the video is staging WW1, (beginning of rising tensions in Europe), towards the middle and end of the video, it's set in WW2 (London bombings). And idk what you think you know of WW1, but the British were fighting in that aswell bud. Hear of the Battle of the Somme? Highest single day death toll in modern war history. Which was fought by the British and French joint operation against the Germans during WW1. on November 1916. Not sure where you got your info.. Nice try though.
To recap: In the beginning, There is peace (symbolized by a dove, cat pisses it off, turns it into a war. When the Dove changed into a crow it is the symbol of WW1 beginning. (going from a peaceful dove to an aggressive crow, then to an eagle symbolizing Nazi Germany's Blitzkrieg in 1939, Nazi influence and ultimate take over of Europe. Bomber= 1940 German bombing of Britain. In the end, the dove rises from the ashes and wreckage of London as the war ends and peace begins again.
@TheMacMan35 Um... Sorry to tell you, but that is world war 2, world war one was fought by Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Canada. (Partially by USA,They didn't have a significant role) Also, WWI was 1914-1918. Nazis were also made only by Hitler, otherwise it was the German army
The dove that rises out of the wreckage symbolizes the end of the war (WW2), and peace in Europe again. All the crosses and blood scene was a 'look back' at the true waste and destruction of WW2 and all war. Waste of life.
At the end, with the eagle turing back into a dove rising from the wreckage of metal which symbolized the destruction of London, and im guessing ALL of Europe's civilians, and soldiers. The crosses with blood draining to a gutter symbolizes the waste of human life. The gutter symbolizes an old cliche' about when people say you are wasting your life. Might as well throw it away in the gutter. It all is a morale stating how wasteful and destructive war is.
Each form the Crow takes symbolizes the growing strength of The Third Reich. The cat in the beginning im assuming symbolizes Gavrillio Princip the assassin that killed Austria-Hungary's Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand which lead to Germany siding with Austria-Hungary to begin WW1. The pigeon symbolizes the peace in Europe. When it changes from a crow to an an eagle, it represented Germany's aggression leading to and after WW1. The Eagle is Nazi Germany in high power form bombing London in WW2 1940
You gotta understand the meaning to this song. Each character in this video has a meaning. this video is recollecting trials the British civilians endured during the London Bombing campaigns of Nazi Germany in 1940. The Crow symbolized Nazi oppresion in the form of a crow, then turns into an eagle (symbol of Nazi Germany) and then ultimately a bomber making a bombing run over London. The creatures in the gasmasks are Londoners sheltering from the bombs being dropped. Very good poem. Deep..Floyd.
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,Loved and were loved, and now we lie.In Flanders fields.Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throw. The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die.We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

I think bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin made music that resonates with something deep in the collective unconscious, so they gain new fans of all ages every single day.
The music is beautiful, but also very ominous. Man has survived for millennia so i reckon we'll still have blue sky for generations to come. Hopefully. Life is short so keep the love in the air!

everyone talks about how their either 14 and listen to this music, or how bad todays music is. nobody cares, you know you listen to it because its "cool"
today's music is damn good, i listen to todays rock and metal songs, and you know damn well alot of you do to. todays music isnt just lady gaga and all that shit. there's good music in there you're puting down
This is haunting... and yet it's over. This song is 10mn too short to properly listen to it, feel the fear completely and finally wanna listen something else....
@Macar14 no they did not, history just continues to repeat itself because we asan ignorant greedy race refuse to learn from past mistakes every country will have a turn
@865tanman WHOA WHOA WHOA!! I bever said anything about hating the song, it's just that I was saying that the person who said that Just a Beaver is greater than Pink Floyd is weak if that's the only thing they have to say. So it's YOU who can take their attitude, AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR SHITBOX!!
There sure is a lot of trolls in these comment, everyone needs to shut the fuck and listen to this great piece first before typing whatever bullshit you're going to spread in these comments.
ive been listening to pink floyd since i was in elementary school and im now in my 30s. no old or new rock compares to pink floyd. they are different in all kinds of ways. David gilmour has a very sexy and relaxing voice. He is #1 in my mind.... Luv u guys..
I was born in the wrong generation, I'm 14. And the music nowadays completely sucks donkey balls, although some music is alright. But still is no Floyd.
There's plenty of great music nowadays, and you have all the music, past and present at the tips of your fingers. There has never been a better time for music lovers to live in.
You should get out more, as good as Pink Floyd are, the world of music doesn't end there.
Here are a few active bands that proves you're wrong: Ritual. Flower Kings. Elephant talk. Porcupine tree. Rush. Opeth. If you haven't heard some of them, search youtube.
Also, on behalf of faggots everywhere, Fuck You too.
@wladosu I must disagree, may be comercial music is what most people want, but not what we ALL want... try with some Pain of Salvation stuff, you will get surprised and release that music didn't die in '99.
@EpikWulf I agree with you there. Though we have some good music, I HIGHLY doubt anyone has even a single song (Newer music) that will stand up to Floyd something 30 years later. It shocks me to see a crappy artist with little talent can make millions in just over a year. Sad.
Some people remind me of the bird! ._.

I think bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin made music that resonates with something deep in the collective unconscious, so they gain new fans of all ages every single day.
magickitty0128 2 weeks ago
The music is beautiful, but also very ominous. Man has survived for millennia so i reckon we'll still have blue sky for generations to come. Hopefully. Life is short so keep the love in the air!

it's very clever how the blood -in the artwork- of people who died in wars is ending up in the sewer, it's a very powerful message.

Oh shut up with that "im 14" stuff already.
There's plenty of great music nowadays, and you have all the music, past and present at the tips of your fingers. There has never been a better time for music lovers to live in.

@MagicAccent Nah, its bullshit. And are you a faggot listening to Lady Gaga, Katy Perry? Theory of a Deadman, fuck you.
EpikWulf 3 weeks ago
@EpikWulf
No, I listen to music.
You should get out more, as good as Pink Floyd are, the world of music doesn't end there.
Here are a few active bands that proves you're wrong: Ritual. Flower Kings. Elephant talk. Porcupine tree. Rush. Opeth. If you haven't heard some of them, search youtube.
Also, on behalf of faggots everywhere, Fuck You too.

wladosu 3 weeks ago
@wladosu Have you tried with non comercial music ?
AmadeusMorsa 3 weeks ago
@AmadeusMorsa comercial music is reflection of our state of mind , just like hitler was...and we all blame hitler...he was what people wanted...
wladosu 3 weeks ago
@wladosu I must disagree, may be comercial music is what most people want, but not what we ALL want... try with some Pain of Salvation stuff, you will get surprised and release that music didn't die in '99.
AmadeusMorsa 2 weeks ago
@AmadeusMorsa ok i will try, but can i try to explain my point of view?
in 80' pop music was duran duran, modern talking, guns&rosses, aerosmith and such...that was mtv music for the masses
today its 50 cent, shakira and lady gaga... do you see my point? music for the masses was once so great, and today..
wladosu 2 weeks ago
@EpikWulf well what can i say...we're the special minority oh our generation who can still apreciate good music;)

lij25674 2 weeks ago
@EpikWulf I agree with you there. Though we have some good music, I HIGHLY doubt anyone has even a single song (Newer music) that will stand up to Floyd something 30 years later. It shocks me to see a crappy artist with little talent can make millions in just over a year. Sad.
