i coukd be wrong but i think when u where siting ur canter the first lap or so ur hands looked a little flat and it could be just me or breed of horse and the way he canteres or whatever u were pumping slightly and on corners (somtimes) u leaned on ur outside foot but that was probly just me cuz i hav to lean out alot to keep my horse on the rail
i cant get my horse to canter for more that maybe half the ring without either having a war with him or going and getting a crop ( no i dont hit him hard just a tap 2 make sure hes listening ) hes an old lazy bum, hes still my boy and i still love him though : )
hmm also think of turning your toes in also look up and you should have a 45% angle in your elbow and have an arch in your back but not to much so think of sucking in a big breath. and realesing it then fell like your sitting up straight also ... put all your weight into your heels so you feel your calf pull on the muscells and keep it underneath you but other then that you look great oo round your shoulders back a little:) good job on him he looks a little pully!!:P
heyy good job, but your leaning on his mouth to much if he bucked you would fly off, try to sit back more and feel the horse move underneath you, also try to use your seat more and don't half halt soo big you don't want it to be noticeable also the more you use your seat the more he will use his hind end and maaybe pick up his head also make a straight line fromyour shoulders,to your hip, to your heel and your hands to the bit close your leg around him more and bring your inside shoulder back...
you look good. he can be a little monster cant he. try not to be so 'handy' every second on a horse you have to use your whole body for commands or it just doesn't work. theres a girl in my lesson who can't control the horse she rides because she doesn't use her leg and seat enough. but otherwise it looked really good!
Focus on closing your leg at your calf and shove your heel down like you are. it doesn't matter if your knee comes off the saddle. Other than that you look Great!!
I've been riding english since 2002...so that makes it 6 years lol. and yeah that was helpful but the reason i was lifting with the inside rein was because he tends to drop his shoulders, cutting corners, so my trainer told me to lift him up and also tug the rein to keep his head in a pleasure horses' position and so he won't drop the shoulder and pull on me. thanks for commenting! =]
lol tht horse is sooooo cute. ummmm ok firs tthing is the hands, there shd b a strate line from ur elbow to the horses bit, so ur a hands are jus a tinsey bit high.
then there shd b a line thru ur eer, shoulder, hip and heel, so ur legs is jus a tiny bit foward off this line, then int he canter wot ur doin is jus rokin the top of ur body, u shd try n keep reli still like reli reli tall as u can.was tht any help??
Um, we probably have like somewhere around 10 school horses I think...but we probably have like 30 horses in total at the barn. I think - I really don't exactly know lol
like i said in the trotting video with lowering your stirups and holding the mugs applies here as well. the only thing i could say for this is that you sometimes cross your inside hand over the kneck which you shouldnt do. also dont push so much with the seat put your hands down and put your leg back a tad. but great job looks nice.
