I really hate to be a kill-joy, but did anyone else notice the severe rudder flutter at 1:39? This is a potentially LETHAL condition that WILL eventually cause catostrophic structural failure of the rudder. Meaning..the rudder will separate from the aircraft! This appears to be a flat rudder. No camber built in. The originals were built with camber, thus eliminating this dangerous condition.

absolutely beautiful plane - breathtaking to watch - thx for the great video - this really is a dream of mine to do this someday - be safe and have many great flights!!!!
Rotax 503? You're doing some pretty heavy turns in this, is it pretty sturdy? Would this be a great first plane to build and learn to fly in? My dad has a woodshop, and use to be an FAA controller and have a plane and pilots licence, and my granddad flew a P38/P40. I want a 3/4 Dr.1, but this looks like it requires the least amount of building and has great visbilitiy and can be built as an ultralight.
@cobrachoppergirl YepIts a 503 and the plane is now sporting just over 400 hours of some serious fun. It's been a blast. And I'd have to say it's a pretty strong design...at least the gear is...I've tried to break it many times on some of my "not so soft" landings.
Thanks for this aero-therapy!

I built the first replica Eindecker about 40 years ago and while it was fun to fly, it's not something for the novice pilot.
