I would laugh at your faces when Apophis comes back again in SGU. They keep going and then they find a Ha'Tak that belonged to Apophis (the big one that used to be his, the episode before he died i think [a 2 parter] and it will turn out that that ship has a stargate on it and that Apophis is in stasis. He will awaken and use Destiny to power the gate to get back home. {the end of that episode} OR Apophis (like the 'snake god' he is) is in command of the Lucian Alliance

Dead are the Ori... Apophis can't die, he always comes back. Anubis isn't really Anubis, it is actually Apophis because Apophis is a god of the dark and of snakes, so he had to change when he became half-ascended. He still lives...

@Balo168 Though he cheated, Ba'al was the most kickass goa'uld in the series... Somehow it was easier for me to like that "villain" than the others... Though he isn't as much of a bad guy as the others, he was still badass...

This is why SGU sucks. They can easily salvage it. Anubis, Ba'al, Apophis, Ori, Replicators, Wraith....etc.

Nooooo, instead of a kickass enemy we have Space Corn Pimps, and lame aliens who show up every once in a while with absolutly no cool back stories, who would be obliterated by anything in the Pegasus, Ida, Milky Galaxy. 30 Episodes, THIRTY and NOTHING has happened at all in SGU. Oh yay, another dream sequence or simulation....

Have to say Apophis' death was the beginning of the end for the show. Ba'al was the only really compelling villian after Pops died.

Apophis was by far the best villain on SG-1, he made everything so much more interesting, especially because he seemed to never truly go away. Anubis was annoying and Ba'al had class, but it always seemed just business with him. At the very least, Apophis would never really help SGC, unlike Ba'al, but he was their true mortal enemy. Mad respect Apophis!

i concur, Apophis has

A) subplot with Teal'c

B) He just fitted the role perfectly (the actor and writting of him)

C) when he died he were (with sole exeption) always brought back.(and even as such i always expected him to pop back as leader of replicators XD pwning SG1's ass)

D) he just looked so badass in the red .) hell even the way he regained his power (killing another goa'uld in his own damened throne room!) was badass

E) Hes just classy Baal cant match him...

I like Apophis much more than Anubis. Anubis got old fast with his cheesiness and him just sitting back sending in his waves of soldiers (supersoldiers were cool though). Apophis is the only good stargate villain who had a personal vendetta against SG-1, and vice versa. He was Teal'c's god, he caused Sha're's death, etc. The best villains are the ones who have a reason to fight the heroes especially (think Khan in Trek, Vader in Wars, etc.)
