@21CSpartan it's nothing to do with the ratio, it's more to do with the driver's technique. If you see some 70's bathurst, that is the way the phase 3 is supposed to be driven, and that is with the same ratio as any other stock phase 3

It has a locking diff, you drive it differently to everything else.

Painful to watch, they rave over a car like this but have no real comprehension of why its one of the greatest cars ever built. I remember one of these coming past my inner city front lawn on a 1974 Sunday and he lit it up. Man, that sound was the best I'd ever heard then and still is today.

Damn! 1500kg's. That's almost as light as my Skyline (1300kg's)!!!!

Would like to see them up against each other but I think it would be an unfair match up. AWD and a lot younger, and a wee bit more HP. But the GTHO is a peice of oz history. Like the GTR became in 92 after it was banned. Two nice cars, but I'm damn glad I don't have to pay insurance for the ford. :)

Good call. Like how they reckon the charger was quicker over the quarter than the phase 3. Phase 3 had 3.00 : 1 or 3.25 : 1 ratio yet 3.5 : 1 and 3.89:1 ? ratio's were optional. But hey I still like the Charger !!!!
