@vlhere That's sort of what Mairead Nesbitt does; using an oversized violin, & Mairead holds her bow in an unconventional manner. Now, a concert with Anne-Sofie & Mairead together...THAT would be the show of a lifetime.

@bluecollarcanuck How is a full, adult size violin oversized? Aren't all full sized violin's supposed to be standard in size? I believe that only viola's are the ones that don't have a "standard" full size.

@Tchaikovsky09 I think Mairead's instrument may have been a one-off, if memory serves. She mentioned that in one of her early interviews when CW was doing the "New Journey" tour- something about a 9/8 size. Other people have mentioned her unconventional playing style.
