i enjoy a lot of the classics. but i also enjoy some new ones, but a great original xmas song hasnt came out since Marias "All I want for christmas". Coldplay and killers were good. I love Christinas and Demis version of "Have Yourself a merry lil xmas".

I also enjoy,the Beach Boy, Elvis, Run DMC, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, "Christmas (baby please come home)" U2 and Darlenes version, Bruce Springstein, Jackson5, and the Band Aid song.

ahh we have similar taste in Christmas music :-D In addition to the songs you listed I also enjoy the albums Noel by Josh Groban and Let it Snow Baby... Let it Reindeer by Relient K. Josh Groban has an amazing voice and I find Noel very relaxing to listen to. Relient K's album is more upbeat and they do change some things but they keep things similar enough that it's not distracting. I listen to their album a lot because I find myself wanting to listen to Christmas music but not anything slow.

I don't get where you got that we all hate Coldplay, they are the most popular band around where I live and I personally think that they are the greatest band of all time (with Queen coming in at a close second), especially with all those rubbish bands coming out these days. The Irish division of the O2 mobile phone network brought out this Christmas ad (on their YT channel 'o2ireland') featuring one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long long time. It's called 'Winter Song' and it's by Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson. Defiantly one of my favourites this year.

Have to agree with you on Ella Fitzgerald and Bing Crosby. I'm also a big fan of Michael Buble's Christmas CD and James Taylor's Christmas CD. Might I say, I am a fan of Coldplay. I absolutely love them, and I am British. I don't know why it seems like most people don't like them, but I know that they must have a lot of British fans as the tickets for their tour sold out. And I would kill to get a ticket to see them.
