I would love to see Hush in a Batman Movie, and I'm pretty sure Black Mask is going to appear in The Dark Knight Rises, but the title, The Dark Knight Returns is already used.

ROFL Angelina Jolie. I'm looking forward to seeing Black Mask, but Cat Woman not so much. I'm sure Nolan won't disappoint, but I wish he would just focus on one villain instead of two. The Dark knight worked out fine, but when you begin to add multiple villains, a.k.a. Spiderman 3, they become less of a threat individually knowing that one can't "destroy humanity" while the other sits on the sidelines and watches. There needs to be a balance of threat.

I think that Joseph Gordon Levitt could have some scenes as The Joker locked up in Arkhum Asylum. BTW, Nolan foreshadowed Catwoman in TDK, and she's been confirmed. I love your work man. It hits just the right nerdy spot. Counting the days until "The Dark Knight Rises". Personally I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a supervillain among the cast of characters. I could imagine Nolan being brave enough to go that route and focus on a stylish manhunt similar to "The Fugitive" with Tom Hardy gunning for The Batman. If not, my money is on Catwoman. If anyone can redeem the character its Nolan.

Black Mask, I believe would be the most realistic character. Nolan's version of his Batman series are pretty much in the real world, so you can eliminate many villans based on that. Black mask is a classy guy, he has a past with Batman. Black Mask is a business man and has plan. He is everything opposite of the Joker, and I think Nolan wants to avoid anything that has to do with the Joker. Black Mask has plans, he's classy, dresses nice, and wants to build up the mob, unlike the Joker
@royfan77 I agree it's a pity we won't ever see Black Mask in Nolanverse he's my favourite Batman villian. He's a criminal mastermind and one of the few Batman villians who is able to take on the Dark Knight in a battle of wits.

Black Mask and Deadshot would make the best choices for possible villians. It would be way better than having Angelina Jolie as Catwoman (that's a very, very predictable choice go with Emily Blunt or Rachel McAdams or someone you didn't expect to be a good Catwoman). It is sad that The Riddler isn't included ( then again it would be like a remake of Batman Forever), Johnny Depp, Joseph Gordon Levitt or David Tennet would have great choices.

@christm5 it means that when people die for no reason it's worse than when they die in the pursuit if some goal like chaos. two-face flips a coin and thus he would even kill his best friend if the coin came up scarred; he has no goal, only the coin telling him what to do. the joker however knows what he wants: chaos and so there is goal-directedness. With Two-face death is arbitrary but with the joker people die for a reason.
@Regenmacher175 I understand what you're trying to say, but chaos is the wrong word to describe two-face. Chaos IS randomness. Chaos = "for no reason". There is no "goal direction" in chaos. Since chaos is random that means you will never know the outcome of a situation. With Two Face however, you have only 2 outcomes for any given situation because of the heads or tails, so you can consider that "order" not 'chaos'. If anything Joker has been shown to kill for no reason, not Two Face
The dark knight was about the fall of the White Knight harvey dent so now it's logical that we get the rise of the dark knight two-face in the next film. escalation: randomness is muh worse than chaos. since Inception i don't believe we can truly say whether dent really died at the end of the last film; the other villain should be black mask because of the parallels to bruce wayne and he targets the latter in the comics making batman's and bruce's existence impossible, thus ending the series.

@GaryFreeman1987 u guys always say that two-face is not in the film but all you have is a 2 year old comment by one of the actors vaguely reporting that the director said harvey died. well guess what, when harvey died two-face came alive and Nolan said they'd mostly use characters that had already been established. @3tem3pest3 Batman's two greatest love interests were villains. Catwoman's reformed now, but she and Batman have had a few flings. And Talia is the mother of Batman's son Damien. So him falling for a villain isn't too much of a stretch

I like the idea of Hush or the Black Mask being in it. Hush is such a manipulator though that it would need two films to get you to love him and then utterly hate him. I would like to see the Mad Hatter Jervis Tetch in it too. The costume, the guns and the themes are enough. And he has an affinity for children, which would be right up Bruce Wayne's alley. Wayne would take it personal for obvious reasons, and Hush could exploit that.

This isn't as good as Superman: Doomsday. One of the most glaring things is that, while some shots in S:D were edited to change from day to night for continuity, here Batman (operating at night) and both Black Mask and Hush (operating during the day) are shown to be concurrent and it just doesn't work as well. I know you can do better.

I was and still am under the impression that it was drugs that killed Ledger. From what I understand, he locked himself in a hotel room for months perfecting his character and became sleep-deprived. Thus, he went on sleeping pills and got addicted to them. That's what killed him.
Also, I'm pretty sure the only death related to The Crow involved real bullets being put into the gun instead of blanks. Talk about your onscreen death.

@arnulfo500 The original look for Black Mask in the comics didn't look like a skull face. Black Mask just started as a gangster who eventually wore a mask made out of the wood from his fathers black casket. Then eventually in a later story he was involved in an accident that caused him grave injuries and led to his mask being the skull-mask to cover his disfigurment. I think it became attached, but I can't remember.
So kashchei2003 wasn't too far off with his interpretation of the guy.
It's interesting, good job. But i dont they'll use two "darker" villains. The Joker works cause besides being damn cool, he's an opposite to Batman. We need contrast.

I love your work man. It hits just the right nerdy spot. Counting the days until "The Dark Knight Rises". Personally I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a supervillain among the cast of characters. I could imagine Nolan being brave enough to go that route and focus on a stylish manhunt similar to "The Fugitive" with Tom Hardy gunning for The Batman. If not, my money is on Catwoman. If anyone can redeem the character its Nolan.

The Dark knight: The Joker, Sal Maroni, Two-face, The Scarecrow (who was there very briefly). He is a well respected director, I never said he wasn't. Having more than one or two villians in a movie does not mean bad directing is all about how everything will play out in the story for the fan satisfaction.

Respond to this video... Pay attention to what u r saying "based off". It does not mean that the whole movie will be about Prey, maybe just 25% of it or I'll give you 45% but NOT the whole movie. Remember that Nolan is finishing up his trilogy, so him being a good director will have to have an outcome with a little more action than the novel "Prey".

Black Mask, I believe would be the most realistic character. Nolan's version of his Batman series are pretty much in the real world, so you can eliminate many villans based on that. Black mask is a classy guy, he has a past with Batman. Black Mask is a business man and has plan. He is everything opposite of the Joker, and I think Nolan wants to avoid anything that has to do with the Joker. Black Mask has plans, he's classy, dresses nice, and wants to build up the mob, unlike the Joker

@royfan77 I agree it's a pity we won't ever see Black Mask in Nolanverse he's my favourite Batman villian. He's a criminal mastermind and one of the few Batman villians who is able to take on the Dark Knight in a battle of wits.
The mob are portrayed as so weak in the Batman movies it would be awesome if they showed Black Mask get rid of the Falconies and become boss and turn Gotham's crime families into a proper force. Instead of a bunch of small time thugs who take orders from Eric Roberts!

Black Mask and Deadshot would make the best choices for possible villians. It would be way better than having Angelina Jolie as Catwoman (that's a very, very predictable choice go with Emily Blunt or Rachel McAdams or someone you didn't expect to be a good Catwoman). It is sad that The Riddler isn't included ( then again it would be like a remake of Batman Forever), Johnny Depp, Joseph Gordon Levitt or David Tennet would have great choices.

@christm5 it means that when people die for no reason it's worse than when they die in the pursuit if some goal like chaos. two-face flips a coin and thus he would even kill his best friend if the coin came up scarred; he has no goal, only the coin telling him what to do. the joker however knows what he wants: chaos and so there is goal-directedness. With Two-face death is arbitrary but with the joker people die for a reason.

Since chaos is random that means you will never know the outcome of a situation. With Two Face however, you have only 2 outcomes for any given situation because of the heads or tails, so you can consider that "order" not 'chaos'. If anything Joker has been shown to kill for no reason, not Two Face

The dark knight was about the fall of the White Knight harvey dent so now it's logical that we get the rise of the dark knight two-face in the next film. escalation: randomness is muh worse than chaos. since Inception i don't believe we can truly say whether dent really died at the end of the last film; the other villain should be black mask because of the parallels to bruce wayne and he targets the latter in the comics making batman's and bruce's existence impossible, thus ending the series.

I like the idea of Hush or the Black Mask being in it. Hush is such a manipulator though that it would need two films to get you to love him and then utterly hate him. I would like to see the Mad Hatter Jervis Tetch in it too. The costume, the guns and the themes are enough. And he has an affinity for children, which would be right up Bruce Wayne's alley. Wayne would take it personal for obvious reasons, and Hush could exploit that.

This isn't as good as Superman: Doomsday. One of the most glaring things is that, while some shots in S:D were edited to change from day to night for continuity, here Batman (operating at night) and both Black Mask and Hush (operating during the day) are shown to be concurrent and it just doesn't work as well. I know you can do better.

I was and still am under the impression that it was drugs that killed Ledger. From what I understand, he locked himself in a hotel room for months perfecting his character and became sleep-deprived. Thus, he went on sleeping pills and got addicted to them. That's what killed him.
Also, I'm pretty sure the only death related to The Crow involved real bullets being put into the gun instead of blanks. Talk about your onscreen death.

@arnulfo500 The original look for Black Mask in the comics didn't look like a skull face. Black Mask just started as a gangster who eventually wore a mask made out of the wood from his fathers black casket. Then eventually in a later story he was involved in an accident that caused him grave injuries and led to his mask being the skull-mask to cover his disfigurment. I think it became attached, but I can't remember.
So kashchei2003 wasn't too far off with his interpretation of the guy.

It's interesting, good job. But i dont they'll use two "darker" villains. The Joker works cause besides being damn cool, he's an opposite to Batman. We need contrast.
