  • Fine exercise!

For those who like to learn the original 37 solo see my channel and there the playlist: Minor Swing lesson

    Best Regards

    CG

  • It's funny, I was learning this tune last week and I was doing just this.

Feels like I was finally doing something right.

  • What a beautiful guitar! :)

  • so good man ! thanks ..

  • part of that sounded like paganinis fifth

  • Wow that kind of selmer is beautiful

  • gd video, but it would be much easier to see what you're playing if u played them slower once or twice

  • sounds like a paganini rip-off

  • @bergAgreb -you sound like a spod.

  • @bergAgreb you know whats an arpeggio? jackass

  • @bergAgreb Arpeggios existed long before the intro to Paganini's Fifth Caprice.

  • Thanks for the info! I'll visit your website.

  • Very helpful for us "Django hopefuls." Could you please tell me what chord you strike right at the end of this clip? It's a variation on the minor that sounds very cool and jazzy. Thanks!

  • @Judplay It's a minor 6 chord played like this 5x4555

  • @thrip Even better, it's the exact voicing Django used!

  • What guitar did you use?

  • @ToXin88 the guitar is a Selmer copy by Godefroy Maruejouls.

  • @thrip Thanks! I didn't find any prices, how much was it?

  • @ToXin88 I bought it a few years ago, not sure how much it would be now. Maybe you should email him?

  • would you tell me guitar's brand? ist soo beautiful

  • @433250cachila thanks! the guitar is made by luthier Godefroy Maruejouls

  • beautiful guitar !!! I love these arps but just cant seem to progress beyond the excercise into that 'gypsy' sound ... playing to each chord just happens so fast :-)

  • @weanus18 keep practicing and it WILL get easier! Just try to play maybe three or four notes from the arps for each chord, don't try to fit too much in. Don't worry about it sounding melodic to begin with, that will come with time.

  • Much appreciated! I'm an aspiring guitarist and I love jamming out on jazz, I quickly run out of ideas though so this is great. Many thanks!

  • @EmilAhlback glad you like it - thanks!

  • ty for your work with pdf's and exercises :)

  • @kalanaiokok thanks, hope to have more up soon.

  • Very RAD! SALUTATIONS FROM USA!!!!

  • ARpegios from the Crossroads guitar duel, it sounds cool man

  • Thank you for that dude.

  • My pleasure.

  • Hi, I really liked how you put your lessons together. I am now learning to play this beautiful style of music at home. Thank you...

  • That's great - thanks!

  • Hi, I also wanted to thank you for the work you do in putting these great lessons out there for everyone to learn from. I'm trying to get through your Improvisation tab and it's been great. Cheers!

  • It's good to know that people are getting something out of them. Thanks a lot for letting me know!

  • great excercise..... like the ones on your website too. quick question about the note count... does the A to start measure 3 fit ? maybe add the A at the 17th in the 4th measure....... so as to end the descending arpeggio a note early to start each chord change at the root ? just curious ? great stuff .... I'm learning a lot from you thank you...... great guitar colection too :-)

  • The A at the start of the third measure is the 5th of the D min, so it does fit. Of course you should experiment with them though! I just made it like that so they flow into each other nicely. Cheers!

  • I get it ... thanks !

  • Awesome exercise, thank you very very much for sharing. I also like the other exercises I found on your page, really helpful, thanks.

  • Thanks very much for the feedback! Glad you find the exercises useful!

  • I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY ALSO please be my teacher for the soloing...great DJANGO IS ALIVE

  • Awesome.. your licks are very helpful. Gypsy stuff are always fun but tricky... so thanks for clearing it up! Much appreciated my friend.

  • Thanks a lot, Tim !

  • Wow, that was quick Stefan! I hope you actually practice the guitar every now and then instead of watching youtube all the time! :-)
