re road closures, the band doesn't ask for these, the police put these in place and it is rolling road closures not full closure, there has been no trouble etc in any pubs etc at this event whatsoever since it started, and during the parade itself monies have been raised for charity (which benefits all members of society) on occasion.

i've never understood the term loyalist, who or what is it protestants/orangemen claim to be loyal to? is it the queen? if so i wouldn't bother because technicaly she was never crowned queen of scotland she's the queen of england and the head of the english church, she or any member of the royal family have no relevance in scotland whatsoever.

That's not quite true. The current queen was crowed as Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

With specific regard to Scotland, she is a descendant of the Scottish Stuart line and was crowed on Stone of Scone just like every other monarch of Scotland.

With regard to the Church, as well as being titular head of the Church of England the British monarch is defender of the Protestant faith and it is in this capacity she is represented at the general assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Pity that it caused a lot of other people a lotof inconvenience though, eh? Like road closures, bus routes being redirected, not being able to go about one's daily business, not to mention the intimidating atmosphere in Whitburn's pubs after these events. I'm not against these events per se: I just think they should be held in sports grounds or conference centres.
