I remember the one on the nes, this one looks way easier than than the nes version. I don't know what it is, if a game is too easy I will get bored with it and stop playing it unless it has something that keeps me interested. And I like games with punishing but not impossible difficulty. Why do I like to punish myself lol?.

Absolutely fantastic. I remember the pre-release version where the boy's voice was horrible. This is a company that listens to their customer's. They obviously had the voices redone in response to the youtube comments. This is spectacular @_@

The NES version of this is on the Wii Virtual market. But the Wii "remake" isn't.

It's not a remake. It's a reimagining. And no, I'm not bitching about semantics. The original was very broken, and impossible to win if you did the wrong thing. You had limited beans, some of the design decisions were bitchy, and overall, it wasn't much fun to play. This is an amazing game that has very little in common with the original game, besides the core concept. So no need to hate on this great game by WayForward.

Funny thing is I hated the original NES game of this but after looking at how it shaped up on the Wii, I could see myself actually BUYING a game with "A Boy and his Blob" in the title. Those words haunted my childhood before.

this is probably the best graphics Ive seen on the Wii. Not a bash at the system, but the 2D graphics are very well done here, they actaully are comparable to the 2D animation on the more powerful consoles.

Oh my gosh!! This game is charming! I found the old NES cart in the Gamestop bargain bin YEARS ago. I played that version for about 10 minutes, turned it off, and shelved it in my NES collection. When the Wii version was announced, I dismissed it immediately. But now that I've seen your review, I'm TOTALLY interested! I may pick this one up!!

Yes it was on the NES. I used to love it. I have both now and they are both really fun to play. I would recommend picking up the original NES version before playing the Wii version, you will appreciate it more that way.

How far did you actually get in the game? All the vids here are of early stages played poorly (no offence)

The puzzles do get harder near the end, but the solutions are always completely logical, and there's a LOT of checkpoints, so it's still pretty fair.

This is easily one of the best Wii games this year.

Good review ... these types of game do pull out of the blood and guts of various game like Killzone 2 and Call of duty World at war...it seems like a very enjoyable game to site down with your kids and have a good time.
