@rockmax555 My outlet from dam video is how far the water falls. It just doesnt come out as fast in the overflow. It mostly just overflows in the spring snowmelt season.

@411smiths There's a river at the bottom that flows all the time. It's called the Sun River. When Gibson Reservoir gets too full, the water flows over the glory hole so water can be released from the dam quicker, so it wont collapse when it overflows. When it overflows the glory hole, water goes to the same place. The Sun River.

@bubblybabs Actually, there is one report of a girl who did At Lake Berryessa CA's Monticello dam. It's unclear if it was a tragic accident or suicide as she hung onto the edge of the spillway for 20 minutes before falling in. Her name was Emily Schwaleck (Schwalen?) The lip of 'old glory' is 87 feet wide, narrows to 27 feet, then drops straight down 200 feet. Happened back in 1997. Took rescuers 3 hours to find the body afterwards.

@simdude2u There's a morning glory spillway in Lake Leon in Texas. We used to use mountain climbing gear, start at the top and ascend all the way to the river at the end or the outlet pipe.
