  • It's a micro light 2seat er the wings are covered with some kind of canvas,It flys like a bat out of hell .not cheap at 22k but what is ? It has a very powerfull engine that will get you air borne after about 10 or 20 ft

  • Yeah I've seen 172's go down. Usually a low hour pilot in way over his head.

  • smal =/= cheap

  • $153,000 is not the cheapest airplane anywhere.

  • It is not cheap and it is not the cheapest. What idiot put that headline here?

  • Ever wonder why these are never FAA Certified! As a lawyer and my friend at FAA used to say, there is a reason....they are junk air junk and death is almost inevitable at some point. A Cessna 172 is your best bet - I've never heard of one failing. Ever. These ultra lights crash with a tiny gust of crosswind all the time. Save up, take lessons, and RENT!

  • @skipsassy1 That's why you get a parachute add on, so when your in trouble, pop the chute and hopefully float safely to the ground. Then again, I wasn't born with wings, I prefer to stay on the ground and watch the scenery.

  • @skipsassy1 you've never seen a Cessna 172 fail? - you must not be around a lot of aircraft then, in my first 4 years in Alaska I saw 2 fail on take off with aborted landings, one fail in flight and have to land on the beach, and another fail on takeoff which resulted in two people being injured when the plane fell 50' from the sky.

  • Light sport aircraft are for those who are not willing to become real pilots! I would not fly one of those little toys...

  • @paulvohsing

A LSA plane is near same as a conventional airplane (= old fashioned), and in Europe the ULM (450kg ultralight) are very popular. The technik and engines are modern and efficent not like the WW2 technology from the classic certified airplane engines, but US pilots refuse this like the Cessna skycatcher (same size) with Rotax 912S engine much better performing and less thursty as the 0-200

A ultralight pilot need a much better skill ...so what is now the "real pilot" ?

  • That is one ugly piece of shit.

  • the ct in england is over £100,000 compare to a skyranger at £20,000 you do the math!!

  • @jamesandtanya I'll take the skyranger:-)

  • Obviously the people complaining about price have never actually looked in to buying an aircraft before. This is incredibly inexpensive.

  • I saw one of these at a local air show .I had word with the owner and this aircraft is classed as a micro light on a weight power to body racial it is over powered .cheap it is not .In English pounds they are £22000.that is an arm and a leg .where i come from .(england)

  • What's the definition of aircraft, because this really isn't the cheapest thing out there...

  • wonder how many can ride on the wings haahha

  • Lol toilet seat. Oh no i forgot my toiletpaper

  • flying toilet seat lolz

  • does it fly?

  • they fly okay. i don't care for how they handle on the ground, though. the castering nosewheel doesn't give that great control.

  • well does it fly cuz i could put a fan on anything with wheels and it would move around

  • Total cost to build= $4.11. Total cost to fly= $18, 000 and two lives

  • id lol when they say thats cheap hahahahaha

  • What keeps an aircraft in the air?.......MONEY!!!

  • there are MUCH cheaper aircraft than this.

  • Th best thing i like about flying is you dont have to worry about constantly remaining inside a lane like you do when driving. You can relax and deviate as much as you want unlike a car stuck in a tiny little lane between a white line. THat is what makes long distance driving so unplesant and tiring. You just cannot relax in a car as there is no auto drive system like an aircraft

  • @210482fmj well I think "deviate as much as you want" is an exaggeration..

  • Obviously... you are no pilot sir!? "Cheap" does not just pertain to the cost of the aircraft, but the actual cost of flying, maintaining, Parking (tie-down fees), etc... And as far as I can see... it is not crap. It is an aircraft.

  • sinus?

  • No one said it's cheap you funking retards.

  • It cost £60'000 someone at our airfield sold one for £35,000 few years old. Well I can't afford a yet but soon I shall change my aircraft from Rans S6 ESD

  • Cheap?? A CT costs upwards of US$ 150,000!!

  • looks like it can break every second lol

  • how much does it cost? plz reply lol

  • This isn't cheap. Try a sapphire LSA 7L fuel burn, 40L on board, 90 knot cruise, 14k aus second hand, RAA reg

  • Chicken leg aircraft. LMAO xDD

  • that is not CHEAP and the bitch can only fly 2 hrs that ant shit

  • god dam Arabs planing another terrorist attack 00:50

  • @TheMakerHimself you sir, are A FUCKING RACIST

  • @TheMakerHimself they are NOT arabs! Indians!

  • Useless. Why didn't they show how it flies?

  • LOL @ "CNN walon ka hai kia?" (does it belong to CNN?) ... its a registration number for the plane you !

  • when i retire im going to buy a huge barge, paint it like a runway, buy a fleet of these things, and have my own personal aircraft carrier!

  • Not the cheapest by far......

  • i just saw the price. Ahem !!!!!!133.000 DOLLARS!!!!! what kind of mockery is this!? thats why no price is mentioned.

  • @routhoula

Made in India and costs 133000 US.I could buy brand new US made base model Dimond for 160000.What would u choose.

  • @fgah if i had the money to buy this i would have the money to buy the diamond eclipse. so i would go for the eclipse. its faster and also has 4 seats.

  • this is the cheapest non-ultralight non-experimental aircraft...

  • @warmfreeze Disagree, the ThunderHawk 165 is $49,999.00 brand new, burns 3 gallons an hour and is a factory built aircraft!

  • How much is it? Like 50 bucks or......

  • It still work on petrol, that is not a solution, electric motors is the future

  • I see why it is so cheap. It cant' fly ! ;)

  • Next time, please say what makes this the "cheapest". Your first-impression criteria is vague. Nobody likes feeling misled. Maybe you enjoy it, we don't.

  • how much does it cost, whats its speed, power and range?

  • its russian, its going to fall down from the sky 50 million times...

  • @MultiPushback

Still better than the american crap, that shit won't even reach the sky...

  • @rock3tcat won't even reach the sky? whaaa?

  • Da-me Dos !!! ;)

  • This crap is not cheap! it's very expensive.

  • @xxmarauder this "crap" is expensive... makes no sense.

  • @xxmarauder yes they are!

  • @xxmarauder I believe they are referring to operating cost, not purchase cost.

  • @xxmarauder for only $30,000 more you can get the Icon a-5

  • @AirForcedude5 : yes, that's the point! and the icon a-5 is a really cool little plane! (want one! ;o) )

  • I was sold on the SkyArrow until I got a look at the Icon. What an awesome aircraft!!! Itt would look great towed behind my Ferrari 4x4! The SkyArrow has a great F-18 "look-out" view from the cockpit and is more of am "working" aircraft, (for aerial photography and such). The Icon is the sports-car of the sky. I am sure there is a jet-powered prototype in the works. I think all the Google execs are getting one for a X-mas bonus. They are even having "platinum parachutes" installed.

  • @AirForcedude5 u r so educated smart 1 :)

  • @mohamedsamirzaki thnx u!

  • @xxmarauder No joke, You could get a piper cub for like 50,000, less than half the price of one of these.

  • Build a Sonex. You can fly for $30,000 and you get to say you made it yourself.

  • You can get a used airplane, turbo-charged, hold 4-6 passangers, go higher and WAY faster, for Half the price. Cheap? The plane, yes, not the price. I'll take a Used Cessna Turbo 182.

  • Nope those are sport aircraft, and sorry but they are not the cheapest in the world. Maybe if you live in Abu Dabi or some other rich country then yeah, they are cheap lol

  • Looks like a sperm with wings.

  • not cheap. Id rather buy a 182 for that price.

  • CheaP ? a CT? You have to be kidding right? If you think about $140,000 is cheap.

  • It's not flyable, but it can taxi? if the engine works that means you can fly it! Just get the local airport mechanic to inspect and your good to go! You are one Lucky Bastard that's all I can say! Life is SO NOT FAIR!

  • @EasternMerchant Well, if your interested there are a few more in the hanger that are in about the same condition, Send me a private message and i can give you some details of where they are,and the owners email addy

  • @EasternMerchant Ha with ultralights like this, you don't need to have a pilots licence or have it inspected. It's like the ATV of planes. You fly it at your own risk.

  • @rwe52496, that's not an ultralight. Nor is it cheap. Ultralights can be cheap, though.

  • @rwe52496 It's not an ultralight. It's a sport plane. In the U.S. it has to be inspected like any other certified aircraft. Even homebuilts have to have annuals, but the builder can do it himself. (And why not? He built it. Who knows the plane better than the manufacturer?)

  • Thats better on fuel then my car WOW

  • The guy in the white shirt by the jet... probably pissing himself thinking... mine's bigger than yours!

  • Hello, this is Jamaican airlines. I'm sorry no-one's available to take your call at the moment, so please land your airplane after de beep.

  • This actually is really kewl looking. 15 Lts(i think that stands for liters) for 2 hours is the way to go lol. Plus it looks really roomy inside the cockpit.

  • is it delhi domestic airport?

  • @FlyTheSkys95

    new one ?

  • I am tired of seeing cheap airplane frames..... I want to see cheap airplane engines!!! It's the engines that cost the most! just a simple little Roax 912 engine cost like $45,000!

  • @EasternMerchant well your gonna be REALLY annoyed at me, Just bought an old Grumman tracker, Complete, dragged it outta the hanger, spent a couple of hours tinker time, both engines turned and started, even the wings unfolded, $200,,,

  • @4E047RHH WHAT THE !@#$!@#%???? NO!!!!!! I'm sorry but this is impossible! There is NO WAY WHATSOEVER, you that you can have a fully functional aircraft for just $200!!!! NO WAY!! You are Joshing with my I believe! WAIT! maybe it's an RC Aircraft? hehe

  • @EasternMerchant I said IT STARTED,,,wouldnt be game to fly the damn thing after its been sitting for 20+ years, however it WAS bought for $200 i have rescued it from certain destruction, it was destined for the crusher any day, I will never be able to get it to flyable condition, but i can maintain it to taxiable condition,

  • @EasternMerchant check out adf serials N12 - RAN Grumman S-2e/g

  • And the CH701 is a lightweight.. (ULM in france)

  • To think you will be flying a Zenith 701 for 17K is unrealistic. The kit price does not include the firewall forward nor avionics which makes the price closer to 50k for most builders. However, they seem to be available in the high 30's used.

  • No Worries, they are just practicing how to taxi lol

  • There are actually lot's of airplanes that are cheaper than the CTLS. I think a 2010 CTLS is around $140,000.

  • @dronald777 I think that they mean cheapest certified and manufactured. I agree with you though, technically, you can built several kit planes and experimentals for around 25-30,000 USD.

  • wt is the price?

  • 'we love our CTs... check out CTFlier.com
