  • painted there, nice spot and people around it.. hope 5pointz stays up and runnin for ever.

  • Man... I use to ride on top and on the back of the 7 train from Lowery Street to Bliss Street back in the day, while others were writing on trains in the sunnyside yard. Got busted back then by Transit Police... They wooped me up with flashlites and I never seen the inside of a police station and my parents never knew ... Bring back the cops of yesteryear, that handled business in the street....

  • I love this spot too bad

  • Long live 5

  • RIP 5 Pointz

They are going to destroy the building

  • This man just like a gipsy:))

  • @mikybarca ceva ma face sa cred ca esti din romania :))

  • R.I.P Iz The Wiz!

  • I live in Cali &I recently went to NYC. I was traveling into Queens on the 7 train when out of the window I see this incredible building. The colors, the sheer size of the art, it took my breath away. I never appreciated Graffiti as art, this 5 story building has changed my mind. I look fwrd to my next trip & going to 5ptz to check it out up close. Thanks to the gentleman in the video for running this place & allowing the youth of today to share w/ us their gift of art!

  • This guys coo he's like Caleb Areo trying to make a difference in graffiti in showing the world that it's not what the media likes to label it as vandalism but a real art form we need more ppl like him just as there's safe skate spots and other parks for skaters to go an skate without getting there skate boards taken away by the police or arrested there should b spots like these everywhere for graffiti artists to go an express there artistic skills an not worry about getting caught up by the co

  • this guy is sick, got to give respect for what he's doing and if there was more place's like this in the world it would be much better place ..

  • it's great that there are places like this. i hope the surrounding area is a nice neighborhood, cause it seems like it would make a good tourist attraction and a fun place for locals to visit/pass by just to see the changing walls

  • Hey Ella! :)

  • Ella's segments are always the most interesting!

  • Illegal graffiti is lame and the artists are assholes. Buildings lose value if they are ruined by graffiti and i wouldn't want graffiti on my house or anywhere near my neighbourhood(unless there's a specific spot for that like this) That said this is a great idea, If this stops some people from ruining our buildings and actually using their artistic mind legally where it's allowed, then great I'm all for it.

  • @slayer66616 Graffiti doesn't just pop up on perfectly good buildings. If a building has tons of graffiti on it, chances are, graffiti is the least of its concerns.

  • @yerk3

Depends where you live. The social gaps aren't that huge in my country and graffiti usually pops ups because some fucked up teens don't have anything better to do. So if you are unlucky there might be some graffiti pop ups on a good neighborhood. There's really no danger zones here(gang areas) at least not in the same way there's in US.

  • I think they need to make more places like this. Especially like some trains. i think it's cool to watch a train go by with all that artwork on it. Authorities should check the art from time to time to make sure its not offensive, and if something gets out of hand they can fix it fast. But these people really are artists just looking for a canvas to paint on and show the world.

  • @emz33 I like graffiti when it's one big drawing with non-aggressive colors. I hate graffiti when it's just annoying words with outlines in stupid colors spammed next to eachother. Most who call themselves "graffiti artists" are just dumbasses with paint, only a few do it right. 99% of graffiti is crap from stupid kids.

  • @emz33 Some residents need to get some rifles and start snipping vandals.

  • @emz33 dont need police or "authorities" to deem whats offensive and what is not. i don't need a fucking badge to understand the difference between self expression and expression of hate and distaste. keep the pigs out and let the good times roll i say.

  • 18 people missed the i like this button

  • Is it me, or are those walls just full of nametags?

  • 5 points is a place in denver where you get shot... lol

  • @2878adamrocks theres a 5 points in Norfolk thats the same haha

  • ooo look 009....

  • Why is he so drowzy?

  • @maigaard7

He seems like he may be a habitual drug abuser.

  • 1:51

    Cyborg 009 art! :D

  • Neat-O!

Thanks Ella for yet another interesting report.

  • What's the deal with his face?

  • @nickrose83 its covered in black spray paint lol.

  • It assualts the eyes. And I bet thats the only building in the world where the owner actuall WANTS them to vandalise his property.

  • @GmasterRED hahahaha no there are a few houses i know of that have a sign outside asking for peple to do graff and fuck that "you look at a oil painting and admire the use of brush stroke, we look at graffiti and admire the use of a drain pipe to gain accesses" - banksy

  • What happned to Meres? Looks like he needs to take a bath.

  • This stuff is awesome, and don't feed the trolls kids.

  • Wow! Doodling is a respected profession now?

  • @Vexed34 you don't know art.

  • @Vexed34 technical all art is doodling

  • that whole warehouse looks like shit, god DAMN!!!

  • i love urban art. the japanese may have anime but in books urban art is 500x better and more expressive then anything drawn so far. It's a double edge sword though theres some people who make racist, untasteful and criminal graffiti. Would be cool if ALL the people who spread graffiti took pride in their work and then maybe it will be accepted more.

  • finally, rocketboom does a feature on street art without glorifying vandalism of public and private property!

  • CHROME tribute, somebody!

  • this guy is scary... besides he looks stoned as hell xD

  • @tjzp it's from all the aerosol he's inhaled over the years. that much spray paint around you can't be good for anyone.

  • WOW LOOK AT THAT UNWASHED BUM

  • @GigaBoost

Wow look at that douchebag who doesn't know anything about art and how hard it is to make something this magnificent. He is an artist and probably when he is being interviewed he and his team didn't finished their job yet. So please stfu.

  • @NukaCoke Too busy making shitty "art" to take a shower eh?

  • that guy has very very red eyes

  • Wow, what a great place, when I go to NYC I will go there! Grafitti pieces are so beautiful. Also, I Am Sofa King Wee Todd Did!

  • graffiti isnt art .. its a mess on a wall.

  • I grew up around there this is like my second home .... LIC / ASTORIA 4 LYFE !!!

  • I think it's just really unfortunate lighting.

  • cool story Ella.... drove by the building once. Now I know more a out it. Thanks

  • Did he smell?

  • Finally an art form I can relate to.

  • i wonder if ella smells like cherries

  • @xtericx I smell like grade-school paste and broken promises.

  • That guy is scaring the crap out of Ella... Poor Ella.

  • @sth128 I had no reason to be scared. The only things that frighten me are mortality, snakes and YouTube comments.

  • I work right by 5Points. It's truly marvelous to behold in person and a testament to anyone who doubts graffiti is a legitimate art form!

  • 2:39-2:47 now thats skill damn

  • @dafemads You got that right I have trouble doing that with a pencil or any other material so that guy is a fucking master

  • Cheeky smile at the end Ella (no, this won't go down to the levels of normal youtube comments). I'm not really interested by street culture but this video was really interesting none-the-less. Great interview skills as well if you actually thought of those questions.

  • @tyronelab I have a pet chimp who selects the questions for each interview from a tombola.

  • Someone tell these guys to feel free to tag my neighborhood anytime

  • Who gives a fuck what that guy looks like? He's doing awesome stuff with the world.

  • great reportage Ella, keep doing this :)

  • he seems cool

  • 2:37 now theres a fail lol

  • Right folks - because how he looks is the important thing.

God youtube comments make me cringe.

  • @QuasiEvilScott i know hes got xma stfu i dont knwo how to spell LKOL

  • @QuasiEvilScott you havent seen yahoo comments. be glad they bothered to comment on the video instead of completely changing subjects to something ridiculously unrelated. :)

  • does that guy wash himself sometimes ?

  • @xoxTOWELIExox HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

i was thinking the same thing.

  • Long time no shower

  • Is that guy sick or just really dirty?

  • For a short clip I would have loved to see some more artwork. Because some works are just so amazingly good. I think it's a missed oppertunity. Ofcourse the inverview is the basis, but it's the artwork that is the selling point. FEED MEE!!

  • God damn he's got a dirty face

  • @MaMastoast hahahahahahahaha

  • Looks like he suffered bad burns at some point in his life... sucks :(

  • @Propolandante omfg seriously?

  • Ah, 5Pointz. Expensive ass clothing.

  • he didn't seem very friendly

  • I love your videos, Ella :)

  • @jordanthewizard This kind of art is supposed to be on a wall

  • @jordanthewizard *sigh*

  • is that an Australian accent i sense there? curious cos i'm Australian myself.

  • @miles2057 Yep. I'm from Sydney. Represent!

  • he graffiti-zed his face...dang

  • Looks like Justice in Dragon Age Awakening

  • hahaha i couldn't but laugh at what tripp393 said..Thats fucked up

  • his face look like it was the after effects of a rocketboom loooool fuck you guys then. =(

  • i cant believe so many people on here are so shallow as to comment negatively on a person that has done such a good thing for the community and the art genre.

  • @teddirez me too.. crap judgments on a stranger and none of them on the stuff he accomplished

  • he looks like a coal miner on duty

  • I tried convincing the cops that this was art; still got an asswooping tho, haha!

  • @purecuIt it is a form of art--until you turn it into Vandalism.

  • his full time job is coal miner...

  • he sniffed in too much of those spray paints

  • i think he's a Nazi zombie....

  • @AcuteSenses hahahahaha

  • good shit rocket boom

  • nice job as allways

  • his neck is totally different color than his face..

  • Most artists wouldn't care if someone painted over it ,but that they painted it in the first place.

  • zombie man

  • that guy is just high

  • i think it's cute how ella's eyebrows move when she talks : )

  • @tahnolikessharing

    I think it's scary.

  • I would love to add a stop & stab at graffiti art to my agenda on my visit to New York, that is awesome...thank you for sharing this.

  • WE WANT MOLLY!!!!!!

  • RUN ITS A ZOMBIE!

  • That graffiti is uuuugggggly! All of it is ugly. The amateur-made fonts are horrible! The angst-ridden "designs" are so 1st grade, it is a pitiful sight to behold.

  • That guy reminds me of Jeff Goldblum about half way through "The Fly".

  • that dude needs to take a shower

  • lol tripp.Thats is a sweet building.

  • Street art is cool. Street skin care isn't.

  • When they dumped all those New York subway cars into the ocean, we lost a major part of art history. And American history for that matter.

So many of the people who really originated graffiti in New York had pieces on those train cars. Its a shame.

  • All hail the Nerd! AVGN Rules!

  • RIP KING NACEO!!!

  • KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!

  • He looks like a zombie from Left 4 Dead. #LOL

  • i think he has a cool face
