Where Do You Create and Share Your Audio Files and Remixes?

audio editor is different from mulltitrack editor.

garage band is a multitrack editor. alternative on windows are fl studio, cubase, sonar, adobe audition etc.

for audio editor, there's no alternative to sony sound forge. can edit 8.1 audio channel. and it is only for pc.

hey chris, one thing koblo a cant do( that audacity can ) that i really like is record audio output. that way anything you can find and listen to or watch you can record and take the audio from. such as music or soundtracks. its a great tool. but i really do enjoy koblo for mixing a editing. Thanks for the new info though!!!

You should check out soundflower. It should allow you to capture your sound audio to use with every other application.

You could try out Virtual Audio Cable which is for Windows. I heard of it, but never checked into it. That's all that comes to mind, but it is a good start.

Most netlabels I listen to are uploading onto archive(d)org (check out Miga 22 release -> daisy cutter).

If you're into sampling and such, then freesound(d)org is your place2hear.

Personally, when using audio software I prefer professional software because of its stability & qualiT.

For audio editing: Wavelab 5.01b

Producing / performing: Ableton Live 7.0.3 (with a few plugins) & Propellerhead reBirth (free)

You could use a pitch feature that should be in any audio editor or if you want to sound like a robot, then you would need a piece of software/hardware called a vocoder. Orange vocoder is a good software vocoder :)

The only problem with Orange vocoder is that it needs a VST host program like cubase cos it is a VST (Virtual Studio Technology) pluggin. It will take some learning to get it to work but I'm morethan happy to help if you have any problems :)
