To answer some peoples questions. This game isn't downloadable, at least legally anyway, It's only available for either the Arcade, or the PS2. play-asia has it for the PS2. Pop'n music is very scarce in arcades in the US, for 1, the game is not supposed to be legallly sold outside of japan and 2, it's not very popular with the common american arcade goer, because it's not something you can pick up and be a pro at it right away, cause of the learning curve involved. US bemani gamers forever!
I just bought this soundtrack (PNM 14) on ebay a few days ago. I can't wait to hear the Speech song by Asaki. It sounds so dark in the beginning. I love it.
I can pass every 12 on an ITG 2 machine, and can pass most foot-rated 13's and 14's on StepMaia.
Also, I play spread.
Thus, I have coordination in both my legs and six fingers.
Still...this looks scary. I've tried Pop'n, and found it fun, but I've seen people pass stuff like Colors EX in person, and despite my SM & ITG skill, *still* don't think I could manage a feat like this, even given time.
omg, i thought i was awesome at music/rythem games when i was rockin expert on guitar hero. then i saw pop'n music and keyboardmania. HOLY SHIT!!!!! IM NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS I THOUGHT I WAS. Guitar hero and shit is turning us american gamers into pussies. i need to move to Japan!
guitar hero is exactly how Americans want music games. hit or miss and the accuracy bar for that is extremely wide. the accuracy for cools in pop'n is super super right. imo its the hardest one to get out of all music games. you'll probably never see a game like pop'n come to America and be popular because of its learning curve, just like IIDX.
The hardest music game is probably going to be Keyboardmania, just for the sheer fact that it involves 24/48 keys to take care of, instead of just nine.
well the arcade version of keyboard mania wasn't that hard actually... the amount of buttons its the amount of complexity used with those buttons. keyboard mania is fairly easy especially if you know a little bit of piano. the pc version of keyboard mania is hard though. i think anti ares real is the hardest on that one. and some scherzo song i think is the hardest on the arcade version.
wat the hell!!! lmao i couldnt even keep up with wat was going on and man wouldnt ur hands hurt like crazy after like one of those songs? anyways amazing job
You have to read this!! you won't believe it!!! don't stop now!! make a wish - - - - - - - . . . . . Now that you have your wish it will happen! in exclatly 4 days. just copy this and paste it to 4 videos!! only one wish use it wisely and it WILL HAPPEN!!! but if you break the chain your wish will be the opposite
Have enough buttons, there?

Hey wow, it's an arcade lineout video! Nice!
Oh, and ENZETSU is the genre, not the title. The title of the third song is 猿の経.
gurtygurt64 2 years ago
Actually, the names you listed for the songs in the description are the names of the bands or disk jockeys. Here's the real list:
1. hora de verdad
2. BBLLAASSTT!!
3. ENZETZU
4. Ubertreffen

The uploader should consider stating in the credits that it's not him playing. 1 star.

Forget credits, he could totally make a Video Annotation right at the start of the video!

Stepmania is DDR for people who have more coordination in two fingers than they have in two legs.

Hora de Verdad looked extremely fast. (140~280 BPM)
BBLLAASSTT!! said it was 320 BPM, but the notes were going slower than in the previous song.
猿の経 doesn't really look too hard, but I guess the ending of a song really affects the difficulty.
Ubertreffen must be really hard. And the notes there also went faster than Kenka Drums.
scratch799 4 years ago
they were going slower or fastr cos of different speed mods.. lol.
tomokosasaki 4 years ago
I noticed that soon after I posted the comment...
scratch799 4 years ago
Kenka Drum looks slower in the video because he changed the options from x3 to x2. That's why Hora de Verdad looked faster.

Because simulators are never as good as the real thing.

True, I have only played 1 simulator that was as good as the game it was simulating.
And that would be o2mania.
