  • One of the better reviews out there thank you

  • Does anyone have a recommendation for concealed holster for this pistol?

  • you said you would look for something smaller, what would you recommend thats smaller and also in .40 cal???

  • I just got mine for Christmas! I am so excited! Santa Loves me! .The PX4 was my only wish and I looked at many reviews and handled a bunch of pistols before choosing this one for my very first gun.. Then I put it on my List for Santa. AKA Husband This gun is a little chunkier than other sub-compacts I looked at, but the ergonomics of this gun Is outstanding.. Thanks for the review and field strip demo. Much nicer than just reading the manual enclosed with the pistol.

  • Great video! Thank you for the field strip info, huge help!

  • Great video! I just bought the PX4 storm sc and love it.I also had to strip it and oil it to reduce some of the stiffness!

  • What do you think you will be getting for summer conceal carry? Thanks for the video!

  • You couldn't explained it any better sir.. Good review I just bought one, and I havent shot it yet .. Can't wait tomorrow morning !!!

  • Outstanding review. You covered everything I was looking to ask about this pistol. Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for this firearm if you don't mind me asking?

  • This is a good review. I traded in my Kel Tek p11 last week and got a px4 sub for CCW. I shot 500 rounds both winchester and federal fmj, 50 of federal +p and 40 spear gold dot short barrel. I have 100% confidence carrying this gun. My KelTek would miss feed every once in a while. The px4 is is a little more heavy and bulky than my Kel but has less recoil. I carry it chambered with safety on for 14 rds. This is a double/single action gun. I have good accuracy at 25 yrds center mass.

  • Buying one today, thanks for solidifying my thoughts about this pistol. Look forward to more reviews.

  • got one today. feels great and shoots like a champ. easy to maintain as well.

  • Beretta has one of the worst customer service in the world. The black protective finish start to chip off on my PX4 subcompact slide after holstering/re-holstering. I called Beretta. They said I had to ship the slide to them on my expense, wait up to 8 weeks to determine if it is covered by warranty, and if it is, they'll fix it and ship it back; but if it isn't covered on warranty, I have to pay them a $80 assessment fee if I want to get my slide back. So disappointed.

  • Thanks for the awesome review, very well presented.

  • I just got one today. It looks nice and feels nice.

  • Excellent review. I think this is the second or third time I've watched it!

  • I just recently bought the full sized version. Took it to range once, put a 100 rounds through it and have been nothing short of amazed by it. I'm a shitty shot, but I was still able to hit the spot I was aiming for at around 50 feet. Amazing weapon line. The little drop down pinky extension dropped my jaw. This may very well be my next purchase.

  • Gorgeous Gun, man!

  • thk u for the great review!

  • width being my concern, will beretta offer a sigle sided safy/hammer drop?

  • Excellent video review sir. You've sold me on buying this gun!

  • Great Vid. That sure is a sharp looking pistol. I might have to pick on up in .40cal

  • Generally hesitant to look hard into subcompacts because of grip issue, so that extension on the mag really caught my attention. It's certainly nice looking.

  • By the way, excellent video.

  • just purchased a 9 sub compact. is it normal for the mag to shift forward/back approx 1/16" or slightly more ?

  • I bought this gun based on this video review. Great review. I find it no problem at all for concealed carry

  • Great video, you say that you don't want to carry it as your summer carry. You also mentioned that you had a glock 27, did you consider the glock 27 also too big for summer carry? I carry a g26 and it conceals nice, I'm considering the px4 subcompact because I like the hammer/decocker vs internal striker. Just wondering if it conceals the same as the g26/g27. Thanks!

  • @GoldenRing1989 Why would it take you 2 hours to clean a 96? Are you missing a hand? It takes me no more than 10 minutes.

  • Good review, you covered a lot. and kept showing the gun at all angles. thanks

  • Question for anyone who owns this gun. Can you cock the hammer by hand, making the trigger pull for the first shot single action as well?

  • @stewartx5 Yes

  • @bladecut11

Good enough. Thanks, guy. Someone else already answered the question a few days ago under another video, but it's always best ot get verification from a second person.

  • Gawd, those EARS (safety/decocker levers) are HORRIBLE. Glad I saw you video to understand how far they stick out.

  • @pcollenYT '.. safety/decocker levers .. how far they stick out ..'

Do remember you're looking at the gun positioned only a few inches from the camera, making everything seem larger. This is a fairly small gun. At normal viewing or handling distances, those ears won't appear to protrude out nearly so far. Indeed, they'll be greatly dwarfed by your fingers around the grip. However, their dominance ensures quick location and action during a firefight.

  • Thanks for the video. I really like this weapon. I have a question though. After the field strip and putting it back together I noticed the barrel rattles around a little. I did not notice that the first time I picked it up. Is that normal? I thought I heard it rattle around a little in your video too after listening for it.

  • How is the slide pull...I was thinking of one for my wife...but she doesn't have strong hands...thanks.

    E1

  • @ETHRON1 Very easy, my wife had a hard time pulling most semi's slides back, let here use this one and she had no problem. Remember, retracting a slide is more technique than brute strength.

  • @MrBigden37

Thanks for the info...yeah I am trying to teach her the "push and pull" but she wrist surgery so her grip just isn't there....

    Brute Force...LOL...unless it is a Desert Eagle 50 cal....LOL..

    Thanks again...

    E1

  • You sold me.. I'll take one of each flavor ;-)

  • Nice review. You said you had an M&P? Was it also a compact? Do you like this gun more than the M&P? I would prefer no safety for CCW but boy this gun sure feels good in your hand. I think I'm going to buy one in .40 cal.....

  • Nice video. I just got a PX4 sub today after much research. I love the features and the way it looks and feels in my large hands. I am gonna make this my primary carry now rather than my Kimber .45 for the additional 7 rounds.

  • These subcompact Beretta px4's shoot great. the trigger is much better than that of a Glock 26 and its contours make it more comfortable for concealed carry.

  • oh really?!!? intresting, ive never heard of them! ive seen the paint on dot sights before that are like a bright neon, but i guess they have some that actually hold a glow cool!! pretty nifty, thank you for putting me on to them,i had no idea

  • what do you mean when you say the sights have to be charged? and only last 30 mins?

  • @shadeshiest22 3-dot super-luminova sights. They are just one step above regular iron sights. after being exposed to light they charge up and will glow in the dark for about 1/2 hour or so. People say they suck but at least they are slightly better than no night sight at all. Its a paint thats on the sights.

  • @shadeshiest22 Tritium sights will glow for years and need no charge, however they are radioactive. Because of those rare cases where people were hand painting with nuclear material and it was being absorbed into their skin, certain countries and states have banned the use of tritium from open environments, thus production of phosphorus based night sights that are illuminated by light became the standard.

  • Get rid of that Spaghetti gun and get yourself a Glock.

There are just to many problems with these guns.

  • @wolfiborngraz Smartest comment on this video.

  • By the bye you have to hold the piece of spring steel with the nail file over while you push the pin in it has to line up just right to set the pin.

  • @spudman1223

Thank you so much just got it back in I really appreciate it.

  • @Pinggong272 You bet hope it helped take it easy.

  • Can anyone tell me if its out in .45 acp? I'm drooling here

  • Awwwwwww Is'int it cute... lol

  • The slide stop is a pain in the ass for me.. Real stiff on my .40 version.. Hopefully i can break it in quick like..

  • what is the DA/SA trigger pull weight

  • Great job man! I have been looking at the .40 in this model and your review is very informative! I am looking to replace my Glock 27 that I sold as well. Never was fully happy with it... Your review is the best one I have found on Youtube and helps me make my decision bigtime... I want one, Thanks!

  • Thanks so much for your demo on field stripping this gun. I used it as I went to take my gun apart and then to put it back together. It was so in need of a cleaning and I had been afraid to try to take it apart on my own. I was going to pay a gunsmith to do it.

  • I first saw this pistol just two days ago. Since then I have googled and watched videos on youtube just trying to make me not want to buy one....no such luck. Thanks for the break down as well as the concise review. It'll make a good addition.

  • just learned a valuble leason dont take that bar out its hell to put back in

  • @spudman1223 how did you get it back in? I pulled it out like an asshole now i cant get it back in :(

  • @Pinggong272 I had to use a nail file to push that liitle piece of spring back over it SUCKS i will never do that again learned my lesson

  • @Pinggong272 Put the pin in the hole with the lever in the down position then push it in while turning it clockwise. Thats how I put mine back in.

  • Your a fucking moron why the fuck would u wanna shoot ur nuts

  • if u pull the trigger aiming at ur nuts and u shoot it will it hurt im new lol BITCH

  • Thanks for the informative review! I picked up the .40 cal version at a local gun show today. I paid $459 for it but surprisingly, the 9mm version was selling for more at $489.

  • are you from ohio????

  • Very nice video, dude! Very nice! I'm currently considering of buying a gas Beretta.

  • This a great pistol. I bought about a week ago and not issue. Easy to disassembly and assembly. I went with my a frind and he took his Glock 27 and after shooting with the Storm he decide to get one. I recommend it.

  • Great review! That finger extension built into the mag is genius. Other makers would be smart to work something out with Beretta to use that feature.

  • Oh yeah forgot to tell you, excellent video presentation!

  • I picked up my subcompact .40 on 1-6-2011 FINALLY!!!! Ordered it in June of 2010 but so far I love the feel of it,the ease of field stripping and that SNAPGRIP on the magazine, yes that does make a difference for larger hands. So now I will take it to the range next week and see if it was worth the wait for the .40

  • Nice review.

GREAT little shooter, love the magazine extender; I have the 9mm "F" version

    Would HIGHLY recommend this gun.

  • Hey Great Review Thank you!

  • hangnail 1:05

  • At 6:18, epic success! Love that mag!

  • Good video. Good information. The PPS was my ccw of choice until I saw this video. The Px4 seems to have a few advantages over the PPS and other subcompacts.

  • I want oneeee!!! this is the coolest subcompact gun i have ever seen, cant wait to get mine

  • Excellent video, thanks!!!

  • Great review. Check out the cross breed holster for this gun..

  • It's so cute!

  • Thanks for this video. I just bought one yesterday, subcompact 9mm and just used this video to field strip and clean it after shooting 100 rounds thru it at the range today. I gotta admit, this is probably my favorite pistol.

  • Thats a nice gun. Thanks for the review. I will be purchasing one in the next few weeks to compliment my Glock 30

  • This is a very well done video. Probably the most informative on the PX4 sc I have seen till now.

  • unfortunately they no longer come with those sights. Nothing that can't be changed but I was a little disappointed. Secondly I just bought one today took it home and put 50 rounds through it. When I broke it down to clean it I noticed that on top of the slide at the mussel the coating seems to be either missing or rubbed off but it had a little rust on it. I am not very happy considering the price tag. Have you seen or heard of any others where that happened? other then that I love it.

  • I don't like automatics for concealed carry on an EDC role, because of the magazine coil that when charged on time loses of its strength :s

  • thanks for the review, ordering one this week. any recommendations for IWB holster?

  • Of all the guns out there, The Storm wins in looks. If I were to draw a cartoon character with a gun, they would be definitely be rockin the Storm.

    Good review...

  • if you got a big fat gut, you cal always hide a gun under there.

  • I bought one recently. so far, not impressed. Three trips to the range, I get constant fail to feed problems(I've tried different ammo), slide does not lock back after last shot. I am not very accurate with it, shoots high and left. I thoroughly cleaned and lubed before each range session. I found that lots of oil helps, but does not cure the problems, I don't want a gun that has to be dripping with oil to function. Today's range trip is the last chance for this gun.

  • Because the barrel so short it off sets the bullet am i right?

  • oooh "techno-polymer"

  • Thank you!

My next gun-going to use my Bera as a

    Target!

    H/Nv

  • Cause im Sacred.

  • The little collapsible pinky extension is awesome! I really dig that! This was a really great review and breakdown of the gun, sir. Well done. I carry the new Ruger SR9c as my daily carry firearm (which is bigger than the Px4 storm) in a crossbreed supertuck and I have no issue concealing it with only a t-shirt. If you haven't looked into them yet, I'd recommend it. IMHO, they are the best CCW holster out there, period.

  • Oiling and working it out will help with issue... BUT! This is a really nice piece and well engineered is no an American or German design, IS ITALIAN and just like their SPORT CARS in which you don't wanna use cheap GAS, same is with this pistol DON'T USE CHEAP AMMO... and this issue could've been avoid in the first place...

    Peace V! and Awesome review

  • @SUPERCONGASTYLE I always laugh at people who buy $500-600 handguns and complain that their $10 a box ammo makes them jam. It's like putting watered-down gasoline in a Ferrari. Cheap ammo will jam any gun.

  • If you pull the disassembly loatch completly out how do you reinsert it:?

  • @mverschu It just snaps back in, no problem.

  • @Aut0Geek Thanks. Looks like there is a pin just slightly blocking the hole the pin slides back into, maybe a light tap with a hammer will work.

  • thanks alot man, i just looked at purchasing one today im convinced now

  • Hey Aut0Geek....Great Video!!! Thanks for Posting!!!

  • I think this is the best looking pistol I've ever seen. Yeah I know that's not a good criteria but still. The styling and attention to detail is impressive.

is the .40cal version the same outside dimensions as the 9mm?

  • You Sir, have sold me on this pistol!!!!

    THANK YOU!!!!

  • What a gorgeous pistol.....

  • Aut0Geek, what would be a half decent brand of ammo to buy for these type F's?

  • @nobux60 For my Self Defense round, I use Hornady Critical Defense ammunition or Corbon DPX Ammunition. For practice I found WWB and CCI Brass reliable, But any ammo I used worked in this pistol, I have never had it fail with any ammo I have put through it.

  • Aut0Geek, What would be a good brand of ammo to buy? There are cheapies and then better brands.

  • how many rounds through it? and issues at all? also is that a safety or just a deckoker?

  • @eamonher Before I sold it I had over 500 rounds 100 of which were hollow points. It was a very reliable pistol, I am now looking to get the .40 cal version.

  • @Aut0Geek so you sold it because you wanted the .40 or why?

  • I want to get the .40mm type f sub compact next month (June 2010) Can you load all hollow points into these guns?

  • I would like to get this gun in .40. Can these be loaded with all hollow points too?

  • @nobux60 Yes, never had any problems with any ammo.

  • i LOVE this gun its a must i have a pair myself i love the double clip its pretty powerful and looks like/feels like an actual gun the only problem i have with this is it just eats up c02's

  • Aut0Geek, I want to ask if you have experienced a problem that I have noticed with the Px4 Storm subcompact: When you have a fully loaded magazine in the magazine well and the hammer cocked, the decocker/safty (on the right side) fails to decock the weapon. Have you experienced this problem?

  • @ppaulst I never came across that problem that I can remember. I can't chk it because I no longer have this pistol. I am trying to get the .40 cal version now.

  • Just put an X2l on it and forget the luminova sights. It fits this gun so well you would think it was made by Beretta but it is made by insight. I have this gun and it is death accurate in rapid fire and never jams. Midway USA has the best clip prices for this gun. I also have the 45 model with TLR2s.

  • what do u mean by the sights have to be charged

  • @RedDevilAirsoft Ever had a glow in the dark Frisbee? You charge it by putting it under a light for a minute or so. Same principle with these sights, except you really don't have to hold them under a light they charge anytime they are exposed to light.

  • what is the point in charging the sights if it is just gonna last for 30 minutes? not trying to be a smartbutt just adking for practicality's sake.

  • @Cros451 A lot of people think the same way about that point as you do, But lets face it..It is better than having plan steel sights with no illumination. Turns out mine last about an hour after I leave the house, so it's still great for a errand or trip to the store after dark. Given the choice I would take them over regular sights any day and they don't increase the cost of the pistol.

  • how heavy is the double action and single action?

  • Love that gun! Would u recommend it ? Is it reliable, durable and accurate? greets

  • wow that looks badass as a subcompact.

  • Nice review man.

  • sweet vid dude.ive had a px4 storm sc 40cal ordered since july 2009.they say the 40 cal sc wont be out till least july due to beretta contract with military.but i will wait im sure it will be worth the wait.but anyway nice vid showed me how to field strip befor i even got gun

  • just picke mine up and i put 300 rds through it at the range , with no probs . just gotta get used to shooting sub compact , i love it

  • look nice........... may get one in .40

  • very good vid. i got a px4 storm subcompact 40 cal on order they say i wont get it till mid july to the 3rd quater of 2010

  • @Aut0Geek Can you tell me how to know if my firing pin is stainless?

  • To keep you from having to take your Pistol apart, It is stainless steel, looked it up, Dry fire away.

  • In the manual it says not to dry fire without a snap cap.

  • Is it okay to dryfire this gun?

  • Thank you for the excellent review!

  • does anybody kno a bb gun thats look real maybe mad out of metal or steel that doesnt really look plastic an s less the 100 dollas if anybody can tell me that would be great thanks

  • hi thx for video hey can you show as how to clean the px4 sub-compact and what use to clean thx

  • @AFG305Z

Read the manual with your weapon and pick up a bore snake and a standard pistol cleaning kit.

  • how much is that gun

  • 500.00- 579.00

  • if you by any chance have the full size px4 storm could you make a video of you handling both to show the size diference and hold them as if you were shooting them thanx if you can

  • I have never owned or even handled the full size ...sorry.

  • @SUPERCONGA

Don't but into the bullshit bud. This Beretta is not bad at all but it is in the same class as a Glock, Taurus 24/7 and XDM. I can grab a Glock or XD and shoot all the nastiest ammo in the world. If the Beretta can't then it is a piece of shit.

  • @Warpath2198 All right keep your cheap stuff and don't buy Berettas!

  • Nice gun. I think I'll get one. Thanks for the review.

  • ruger lcp .380 its small.

  • Good review man. Don't get it twisted though guys, this is very similar in size to subcompact glocks and xd's. And anyone who has a glock or an xd will tell you theyre THICK. And so are these. My advice, but a full sized px4 for home defense, and go with something completely different for CC. Kel-Tec and Bersa make good products for a great price. And theyre more reasonably sized for a CC

  • I know you love that gun because you stroke it so lovingly... jess messin' - you did real well on this vid.

  • if you are looking for something smaller, get the North american arms guardian .32 it goes for around $400 and some change

  • ..nice review and thanks for the field strip..does the PX4 compact come with the hand grip additions for bigger hands like the full size PX? thanks in advance

  • Yes, it does.

  • Whoa, that pinky extension is brilliant.

  • Thanks for mentioning about oiling - I just got mine today, and the place had a range and let me shoot it right away... it was jamming and not staying open. I figured it just needed some oil but was a little worried (my friend who picked up his XD-M today was laughing asking if all Berettas do that).

  • @segamastersystem Oiling and working it out will help with issue... BUT! This is a really nice piece and well engineered is no an American or German design, IS ITALIAN and just like their SPORT CARS in which you don't wanna use cheap GAS, same is with this pistol DON'T USE CHEAP AMMO...and this issue won't happen in the first place!

  • shot this gun yesterday at the range.. Love the look and it shot well..Hated the grip..Shot the S&w Mp 9c and it shot great too .. Cant decide which way to go... Really like the look of the Beretta... Any suggestions?

  • It's strange you should mention the M&P Compact. The PX4 SC in .40 or the M&P .40 are the 2 handguns I am trying to decide on at the moment. Both are fine Pistol's. So I am at the same crossroad as you at the moment.

  • Only Neg on the beretta. my finger kept hitting the mag release button by accident which ive seen be complained about in other reviews

  • I just got mine today, and I LOVE this pistol. I was agonizing over what to get (my current concealed weapon is a XD40 4"), and wanted to get an XD subcompact, but I was looking at other options as well, and this one really stood as a cut above the rest. I can't wait to take this out to the range and shoot some hardball target ammo out of this baby.

  • If you are looking for some thing smaller look in to the ruger lcp or the sig p.238 ... both are very nice .... thanks for the review on the gun im thinking about replaceing my ruger lcp for this ....

  • too think to conceal comfortably

  • Thanks for the review, it was nicely detailed and very helpful. I will definitely consider the px4 for the 9mm subcompact I intend to buy as soon as possible.

I handled a full-size px4 once and didn't really like the (subjectively) light and "cheap" feel, but I'm willing to give the subcompact a chance nevertheless.

  • I own this and the fullsize, my subcompact is in 9mm and my fullsize in .40. my only problem with the subcompact is how damn easy certain portions of the polymer frame are to scratch up. doesnt take anything at all. all the high gloss portions you see, IE (most of the frame) are very easily scratched up. i actually have a hogue hand grip on it. not for comfort but to prolong its appearance. just a thought for you all :) BZ

  • is this the g model?

  • No, the G model would return the decocker to the up position. These can easily be conmverted to a "G" model.

  • i will post a video of both PX4 STORM full size and compact on friday you will see the body size height and width, one is shorter ,one with a rotating barrel.

  • I will show you tomorrow on a video ok

  • Ive been looking at this gun for a few weeks...I have been undecided but now I know this will be my new ccw

  • its a great gun you won't be sorry i own two full size and compact.

  • I've heard the height on the sub-compact and the full-size are the same and just the barrel is just cut down.. can you verify? I know that's usually the case on many sub-compacts, but just wondering for the PX4.

  • i own full size and sub compact, the height difference is about an inch. the subcompact also takes the fullsize mags which is great

  • Excellent, man. That's a very nice gun. I want one :P

  • been looking at this gun i kinda want to get it for conceal carry but im lookin for a m&p 9mm i do like how it has amedextrious cause i shoot left handed what would u prefer?

  • Would you recomend it as a first handgun???

  • Yes...Very much so. Great ergonomics, Finger memory spot to help teach keeping the finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. A lot of people have shot themselves because they holster there firearm with there finger on the trigger and then when there firearm is entering the holster it pushes the finger to compress the trigger and bang. Very reliable pistol. You could do much worse.

  • The owners manual does not specify on this topics and you seem to have expierence with firearms.

BTW I have the same lil issue you had with t the slide catch...would you show in the video how to do it? for future reference.

    Thanks again.

  • Gratz on your new Beretta. Field strip then use a small flat tip screwdriver and push out the slide catch a small ways and remove the tension spring and then the slide catch itself. use very fine grade sand paper or emory cloth on the peg of the slide catch being careful not to remove to much. a drop of oil on the peg and the re-assemble. I would show you in a video but i no longer have this handgun. I am now trying to get the .40 cal version.

  • Thanks for your help, I am waiting on the .40 version to be released too, but I think I'll keep both...or just maybe trade it in.

  • Great review and thanks for taking the time to share it with us. Woul you please make a video recomendation for new owners like myself about how to maintain properly? and specify the right type of ammo for both shooting range practicing and self defense/concealing?

I just go it brand new and I think is a real master piece.

    Thanks

  • Just remember to always clean your handgun after every range trip and it will serve you well. As for what ammo to use there is no way I am going to open that can of worms! I will say that I use Fed Hydroshock and Cor-Bon. I used WWB and CCI brass with no problems for practice, Stay safe.
