I prefer the Dreamcast Rayman 2, it runs alot smoother and the pacing is different thanks to the use of a level hub rather than the open world used in Revolution. I'm sure alot of people though would find most appreciation for the Nintendo 64 version due to the use of the complicated hardware including the expansion pack. I've never played it though so I couldn't comment on that one.
@tapirtoonthree I suppose I can, but I've never played the original a whole lot, so I'm not that good at it. You can probably find better playthroughs already posted than what I can ever do.
@SupremeGameslord I know about the N64 version and PC versions. The game first came out to the N64. However, the biggest arguments I've heard over the years were between DC and PS2 fans.
I actually never played rayman 2 i only played rayman 3. By the way did you ever check over that new rayman that got announced at e3 its a 2d platformer and isn't a remake either which i love xD
@Nightridergamer I remember hearing about it, but haven't looked into it. I'm having a hard time getting excited even when developers seem to move in the right direction anymore. Sometimes it just feels forced. We'll have to see on the new Rayman.
@teh2Dgamer well maybe ubisoft will turn out like ea. EA still has ways too go but there trying at least now a days. I really hope that the new rayman is good though but my guess is it will become a underrated dlc game and that will be the last we will see of 2D rayman.
@Nightridergamer To be honest, I think right now 2D platformers are more likely to sell than 3D ones. 3D platformers are on their death beds Galaxy, and R&C aside.
@teh2Dgamer Interesting thoughts i think that the 3ds though should hopefully bring a lot more 3D platformers to the field. The original DS brought us a lot of good quality 2.5D and 2D platformers. Either way though platformers just aren't as popular as they used too be which is a shame.
This iss WAY different from the N64 version

@LewisLongshanks The DC version would no doubt be better, but the PS1 version is still good, even if it's missing a few things.

so this is pretty much the same game as the one on ps2?
cheyennekm100 1 year ago
@cheyennekm100 Not sure. I think the PS2 version probably has some added stuff to it.

Rayman 2 :The Great Escape and Rayman 2 Revolution are sequels, not a spin-offs.
Rayman 3: Hodlum Havoc is also a sequel...unfortanetly.
Rayman Arena,Rayman Bowling,Rayman Rush...are spin-offs.

It's called Rayman 2 Revolution on Playstation 2.
I never bought it for some stupid reason, but I am planing to(for 9 years already).
If you have N64,Dreamcast,
PS2 and PC you should buy it and check it out for yourself, provided that you have no problem having to beat it 5+ times.
Apparently PC version is also great.
I wonder how does it fell to play it on keyboard?

@teh2Dgamer
There are also Nintendo 64 and PC versions you know.
A fine,fine game.
On par with Super Mario 64 if not better.
I prefer Dreamcast version mostly because of it's superior graphics. It has some extras like Globox discs or something.
Playstation 2 version has several new levels and some gameplay enhancments(according to IGN).
Also according to IGN Dreamcast version has better textures, but PS2 has better lightning effects.

@huynh2er lol Rush and Multiplayer/M/Arena are pretty fun and good. But Raving Rabbids gets boring after a while..
