  • Hey how's it going I love that build. I was wondering if you guys do hackintosh builds if so I need one. I live in ny and I would like to place a order if you do these builds

  • Hey, my youtube mail was acting funny. you were asking me about the monitor stand...

Oh crap, I forgot about that. Yes, I work at a metal fab shop and I modified the stand to accept these monitors.

    Thanks.

  • But can it run windows Xp!!???

  • i feel sorry for the guy who had to pay for that

  • proud of... except for the ugo on the back of that beautiful case!

  • this looks stunning, except the external rad, thats just ugly :(

  • What type of pump are you guys using?

  • @Trubyd44 Do you guys ship overseas? I'm looking to build a new PC and im about to come into a fairly large amount of money (insurance money from motorbike accident).

  • you are real great with pc`s, the only thing is that you need an new intro video with some builds that you made in it :)

  • fantaistic water cooling front display. where can i buy that ??

  • @nails6365 haha that's not a watercooling front display it's a reservoir:)

it's called EK-BAY Spin RES DUAL Loop you can buy it at performance-pcs

  • VERY NICE WORK

  • Trubyd44, where is your update on Client Build 5? Is Client build 5 finished? Where is the video of it? U have been awfully quiet about it. Did radiologist cancel that build? Please reply. I want to see that yellow case all finished in your client build 5.

  • the quadro series would run significantly better (probably 1 would function as well as 3 580s) for the "intended purpose" of this build. They would also run on comparably no power. However they are outrageously expensive, so its hard to judge what the constraints were.

  • @landwolf00 You are wrong here. I won't go into a long reason as to why, and I normally don't reply to posts, but you so it as if you actually know. I talked to both the software manufacturer in Spain directly and Nvidia engineers before I picked out the hardware. A single 580 would perform just as good as any quattro for this application, the extra two 580s are just for the gaming spec the customer wanted.

  • @landwolf00 I wonder that too considering the real difference between quadro vs standard consumer product is mostly the driver quality. Not too sure I'd go with companymen's/nvidia engineers suggestions as one wrong series of words out of their mouths could cost them their job or lawsuit. 44, you can't address people nicely, don't open your mouth at all.

  • Xeon is a server processor

  • @TurbidAttack954 Oh really? Thanks.

  • @Trubyd44 Hey douche bag, stop giving rude comments to people because they don't know you can use a xeon as a normal processor. You tell people you don't care about negative comments but your reply to them? Why don't out try building a computer in less then a year and treat your viewers with respect.

  • @C4ptKrunch Hey good catch, you remind me why not to reply to posts. I reply to one post out of thousands and you caught it. Good deal!

  • @C4ptKrunch who, you are clearly mad for nothing. idiot.

  • @mat967 Wasn't talking to you thanks,

  • @C4ptKrunch still a stupid comment.

  • @mat967 Okay....?

  • @C4ptKrunch You don't have to watch his video's, he obviously knows what he's doing and he got a comment from someone who though he knew better, and got called out on it.

  • @TurbidAttack954 Xeon E7 and E5 series are server processor the Xeon X5690 he used is a workstation processor

  • i dont see a card reader

  • this is for jewelry right ?

  • ive a dual opteron system @ home sporting 16 cores and 96gb ram...be warned everyone: it sucks power like mad.

the problem is that its not for gaming because most games cant use more than 2-4 cores.

so for gamers its mostly a penis extention. :)

  • very great system

    how much total cost?

  • I WANT THE PNY 6000

  • EVGA SR-X Dual Socket LGA 201

  • OK i need a PC I HAVE A RECORDING STUDIO and i am A hard core streamer gamer and a F.S.X.

  • ok i need a pc I HAVE A RECORDING STUDIO and im a hard core xxxxxstream gamer and a fsxer as well i7 dual would be cool it not out yet i think

  • YOU NEED 2 BLU RAY DRIVES TO BURN ONE ON THE OTHER ??

  • what happened Truby, no new system for 3 months?! me sad!

  • srsly, how much did this pc cost?? :O

  • ermm just wondering is the pump they are using the Alphacool VPP655? As i am building a watercooled set up and i would really like to have that pump thanks guys.

  • Where this computer at been 2 months?

  • so are they using this for graphic design? dont they make cards just for that? thanks

  • Comment removed

  • Although I like your builds a lot I wouldnt let You build my pc... It just takes to long this guys build is not yet finished And x79 platform has launched. He bought al the latest hardware And by the time his pc is finished he van start over Again. I know That youll face problems And stuff but You Also have to be realistic.

  • @Joepkuh27 What are you talking about I got my computer a month after he started building it. I've had it since the beginning of August.

  • @KoukiR So it took them a month to build what should take 4-5 days? A month is way too long.

  • @jonniemexico He's building more than one computer at a time and this isn't his main job.

  • Rendering with 12 cores!!!!!!!! I have a dream...

  • @KoukiR I am going to have to agree with techpops. That is an extremely low polygon count. I am making 3D models and doing some FEA on a cheap toshiba laptop. Honestly, I don't really see a NEED for a dual processor set up unless you are going to use it as a server (for deployment etc..) or do some major number crunching. The spec'd gpu's aren't exactly great for modeling, should have gone with Quadro's or FireGL cards. I would bet the guy just wanted a bad ass computer for himself.

  • Hey Trubyd how is client build 5 doing? Did you guys manage to finish it? I'd really like to see a new video about it.

  • dudes, i dont get it i7 2600k has a better benchmark score than xeon 5690?

  • @hikmaet You pretty sure mean GAME benchmarks. So NO the i7 2600k is NOT "better" at least not in every class. Xeon is for workstation PCs. So like rendering High definition videos with modern 3d Software (autodesk 3ds max/maya, cinema and so on) and/or for server the Xeon is WAY better for this job. And there is no possibility to put 2x I7 on a board but 2x Xeon is possible. This IS a badass PC.... but it is soooo expensive.

  • how much the cost?

  • Whats going on with the yellow build?

  • A truly beautiful build. I wonder though, why did the client want to go with that graphics setup and not a workstation graphics card? Have times changed now where it doesn't matter?

  • @techpops I will build same computer but with 4gpu, for rendering, workstation graphics cards not doing same work ;)

  • @serveth

4 GPU's usually adversely effect games as they are not coded to read them correctly. Usually causes a lot of micro stuttering in games and really retarded frame drops.

  • @ethicks00 I said "rendering" not for games, not SLI, each one works separate

  • @serveth

as a dedicated rendering machine that might be fine. The most you could have would be 3 gpu's in a board like the SR-2 though so again it would be fairly useless as there are much better ways to do render only tasks.

  • @ethicks00 3 gpu's dedicated to rendering*

  • @ethicks00 SR-2 has 4 way SLI, so 4 gpus could be used, and rendering with gtx580 is smarter choice because it has 512cuda cores and 3gb vram(which is also so important), quadro gpus which has same vram is about 3-4k

  • @serveth

that was not the point of my comment. The point is if you want a dedicated rendering box there are much better ways to do it than spend that much money on an sr-2 and 4 consumer grade gpu's

  • @ethicks00 what's that then? Tesla? I will use cpu+gpu

  • @techpops I was just going to ask him the same thing..... from my knowledge, I understand there is a big difference.

  • I think x79 will be so close to xeon performance. Hope it not a flop like the 990fx bulldozer chips are.

  • how do you fucking afford this man?!!

  • @Flycoolasamuel1 he paid to build these

  • @Flycoolasamuel1 he is paid*

  • I feel like my PC is crap. Quad Core, 4 gigs of memory 650HD drive and ATI HD 6850 ... :'(

  • @OnbekendGHC Dude. Athlon II x2 240, 4870, 500GB Hard Drive, 2GB ddr2, and a free biostar motherboard.

    Imagine how I feel.

  • @OnbekendGHC Depends what you need it for. This is for extremely high level 3D modelling, which can be much more intensive that games. There will always be someone with better specs. :)

  • Couple things, Why go with green/blue for the front when EVERYTHING else is black/red, looks really dumb IMO. Also since the client is using cad, would workstation graphics cards be better? like the nvidia quadro series? complete excess, like working in a wind tunnel/waterfall/disco, so dumb for a workstation.

  • Stability, IT HAS 24 THREADS, WHY WOULD IT NEED OVERCLOCKING!?!?!

WHY IS THIS A COMPUTER FOR A JEWELRY COMPANY?!?!?!

  • @wei00007 Because I'm in the design program class right now using their computers with i7's and 9800GT's and they are horrible. If I am rendering something small with minimal design it takes couple minutes. I made a pave pendent yesterday and it took 5 minutes to place all the stones and then about another 5 minutes to render it. Even when I was tring to move the view angle when making the pendent the view would skip because it was to intensive of a task for the computer to do.

  • @KoukiR That must be some polygon count you're dealing with. Right now with a crappy card I can spin around and edit million polygon models without any slow down in Cinema 4D. I wonder if the design software is the problem.

  • @techpops Say your making a pave ring with 100 diamonds on it. Each diamond has a bout 54 facets. So it has to deal with 5,400 facets. Thats not including the actually ring and what design/s it has.

  • @KoukiR That's really not a lot at all. In fact that's a very low poly count. I think there is some issue with the graphics program. Also you can sidestep the detail problems altogether with a program like zbrush where tens of millions of polygons aren't an issue at all in real-time due to the way the program works and that's very popular for hard surface modeling like jewellery. Anyway as long as you're happy with your setup far be it from me to steer you in other directions.

  • @techpops - In order to get an accurate depiction of a ring design with 100 stones in it will require ray tracing with multiple reflections, and with a particular refraction value. That stuff doesn't get done in real time with Open GL based 3D modeling applications. That requires rendering, and that would take a great deal of processing power in order to make a rendered fly around animation in a fairly short amount of time. An older machine could do it, but it would take far longer.

  • @wei00007 When I zoom into a design to make more accurate measurements the lines on the grid start to get really pixelated and its hard to place things. So a computer like is needed. Maybe I didn't need two more 580s & 2 CPUs but I didn't want to get bogged down and wanted to game as well since I'm working at home so its worth it to me. The caps aren't needed for your statements which is IMO just trolling.

  • You're processor cost more than my PC

  • No zip drive?

  • series,lol,not serial right?

  • ive tested both parallel and serial setups with my sli gtx 580's and have gotten nearly identical temps and fairly close flow rates.you may eventually have a problem with parallel from build up inside far edge of blocks.ive seen it a few times, its like the water runs through the dvi port side of block slower on both cards and leaves a residue inside which would prolly be real bad if you use dye.you can only see it with a clear block but it happened to both of my cards same spot

  • this sucks you don't have floppy installed there...

  • can it make me a sammich?

  • Awesome build right there. Subscribed

  • Ironically, the build components here are much less impressive than his ability to cram it all into the case so neatly and elegantly. That's a real testament to aesthetic design which is sorely lacking in a lot of custom third-party builds these days. It's not just something you brag about in terms of horsepower. It's something you show off proudly when you take the side cover off.

  • love it, just dont like the rad out the back end

  • Over kill for jewely design lol

  • @ht448 I live off of over kill, it's what I do.

  • Hey man I love your videos.

One drawback: the volume of the short intro is quite loud which is a bit annoying, like a loud commercial break on TV.

But that's the only gripe, love your builds!

  • @Trubyd44

What temp sensors did you use to measure coolant temps? Have been looking at an FC5v2 myself, but i can't seem to find out which sensors work with it:/

  • how much did this whole build end up costing? im interested in getting something quite similar to this

  • this build looks absolutely amazing SR2 builds are normally extremely large its nice to see a system with that much power in a normal size case :)

  • Where do you keep buying the sr-2 motherboards? I cannot find them anywhere to purchase.

  • You need this kind of system to design Jewelry.

  • The two of you kind of remind me of the two guys from Lizard Lick Towing, ever seen it? You're like the main guy who is always yelling Get 'em Bobby!!!! Sorry not trying to poke fun, just always think of that when I watch your videos...which I love btw.

  • The two of you kind of remind me of the two guys from Lizard Lick Towing, ever seen it? You're like the main guy who is always yelling "Get 'em Bobby!!!!" Sorry not trying to poke fun, just always think of that when I watch your videos...which I love btw.

  • Is there much difference in performance between 3 GTX 580's and 2 GTX 580's? Also, was that aluminum tubing instead of hose tubing you used?

    Nice build.

  • I'm impressed this rig works with only one psu. How many watts does that entire thing draw?

  • oh gosh) that water movement sound is gonna make the owner crazy!

  • @BOOMbarash5000 I actually like it.

  • Another awesome build. Thanks for sharing.

  • Geezus.....can i haz for cheezburger?

  • I can see from your videos that you really like to use parallel loops for the water cooling. IMO you should experiment with that using some flow meters. I know that the flow throughput of the VGA water block is less than the pipes, however when you add all 3 of them together the overall throughput is greater that that of the pipes. Therefore you are getting slower flow in the individual blocks. I guess with parallel looping you get cooler water in but there's also more time for the water to

  • to heat up in the block, whereas with series looping you get longer path but faster flow. In this particular case it doesn't really matter however it would be a nice experiment to show your viewers.

  • Did you ever get build #5 finished?

  • You know I like it man!!!!!! Wonderful job you two. Always fun watching your videos. They should be featured everywhere. Keep it up!!!!

  • when i look at the parrelle loop config it looks like the fluid could go straight through to the video card below it without ever even passing through the video cards water block?

  • Yea his is that black Mountain Mod case with dual xeons and 4 GPU's. Look through his videos there are a couple videos.

  • Is there a video where truby shows his own system??

All those rich clients and beautiful pcs make me wonder if he has a kickass system himself or he's just jealous building a monster like that.

  • Where the hell is client build 6 what did it just dissapear come on now!

  • may i ask the name of the bracket that holds the rad? i want one!!!

  • @Trubyd44 check Case Labs cases, it would be easier to make crazy PC like that.

  • Unless you are running 3 30" monitors that GPU power is kind of wasted in real-world performance.

  • @tormaid42 Will be in a couple months.

  • @KoukiR

    Awesome :D

  • That is one great looking build! clean neat and great looking color choice.

  • Nice build, I don't like the GPU loop though. It should be in series for maximum cooling but its not a benchmark machine so it might not really matter.

  • @MADJIHAD1942 You are so wrong here, did you watch the whole video where I talk about series vs parallel???

  • @Trubyd44 I have to agree with Truby, parallel is better.

  • @Trubyd44 The new Corsair M90 Keyboard would fit lovely with that screen.. What kind of screen is it..? I mean like what brand? Never seen a Desktop screen with brushed aluminium befor.

    Very nice job idd!

  • @MADJIHAD1942 You're wrong. When they're run in parallel the GPU's are cooled equally and stay within 1C of each other, whereas with a series you're carrying heat from one card to the other, and the card at the end of the loop will always be hotter. If you have the proper pressure, parallel cooling is always the best.

  • NICE !! 1 video per week is awesome.

  • how much are all the hardware together?

  • That radiator on the back of the case really caught me attention. Isn't it series and parallel and not Serial and Parallel?

You guys did a really nice job on this build. You guys really know what you are doing. In my opinion, this is your best build yet. I could hardly see any wiring at all except the GPU Power.

  • @CmptrPrgmr Haha, yeah you're right. Series. Thx for the comment.

  • @CmptrPrgmr

+10% creativity = You could use red cello tape on components like: SLI bridge, GPU waterblock, cables etc.

  • Every time i watch a Truby video, i want to splurge on hardware

  • Beautiful!

  • With any build for a designer I would spec a colour critical monitor from a high end manufacturer such as NEC, not essential but certainly so if you want perfection. Cant really call it a pro workstation without it

  • nice

  • So It has Xeon but not Nvidia Quadro! or Server Motherboard!

Business: means Stability By Better Design.

Quadros are better built (OpenGL) than GeForce Unless you want to game and use DX11.

Motherboard is not the best I can pick.

Intel server boards or Asus server board or Supermicro or.... all are better choices for business that this classified mobo.

  • @hraqhraq Agreed Quadro and workstation class mobos should be used without doubt, also the drivers are certified to be compatible with 3D and CAD software you will get bugs and errors with gaming cards purely down to driver certification process. Also not a colour critical display is another big oversight imo. It looks like a gaming rig, not a serious workstation you can rely on, and what the hell is that thing hanging off the back! LOL

  • @f16madlion The Q4K was the card of choice at first actually. But after Truby contacted the program company the rep said that a GTX580 was more than enough and that a Quadro would be overkill. The program I'm using isn't super intensive like other CAD programs. The CCM monitors are 3X more than what I spent on the monitor I got(not one in video). I'm not editing Avatar or Pixar movies where I would need something like that. The thing on the back is an external radiator for the GPU's

  • @KoukiR My personal opinion would be to ease way off the multi-GPUs and bling, get one proper certified card in there and CCM monitor with left over funds, they are well worth it for any kind of printing, rendering/stuff you put on the web etc. Unless of course your after an enthusiasts gaming PC that can hold its own for your job too, its fine in that case! I just disagree somewhat with the notion that its a machine aimed at designers, makes no real sense to go with a Xeon either

  • @f16madlion For the stuff I'm doing for jewelry design the 580 is more than enough. I've already made a couple things and rendered them and they look great. I know a couple other people using similar programs with half the hardware and they are doing great. These programs aren't as intensive as other CAD programs. Like I said before I'm not going to be doing super high end stuff like movies and thing of that nature. What I have is fully capable of doing what I want.

  • they need to type the hardware names on the ''show more'' section!

  • This is a pc for gaming or working ?

  • @Trubyd44 I congratulate you on a great new build! One-two things i would do in another thay like RP-450X2 & PCi-E cover for straight fan connect, but it's still greater than most of YouTube builds.

One question: how are you going to ship it with the radiator' hanging off the back? Thanks in advance & respect!

  • @iMasterFreez I've had the RP-450X2 and didn't like it. You can't see the flow and the lighting (even though they give you places to put LEDs) is NON-EXISTANT! :) What PCIe cover are you talking about?

  • @Trubyd44 Hey truby I was wondering, what's the song you used during the benchmarks? I like it alot. :)

  • this is a very fast computer!!! and beautiful !

  • Might be a stupid question, but why on earth didnt you use the coolance dual reservoir?

I mean in that you have the pumps in the reservoir:-)

  • designing jewelery my ass, he's gonna play WOW!

  • @onlyreallifematters He's doing both. :)

  • tha'ts strange, i got a uniqe heaven score on 1377 with only one gtx580 and a amd processsor?

  • @thure1989 I bet you weren't running at 2560 x 1600 and everything maxed out. :)

  • @Trubyd44 that is true d: used the standard settings since that's the settings we use in my whole area d: in that case, Insane rig... ;o

  • fucking awesome, fuck you man,

  • What clocks are the GTX 580's at? :D

  • nice job and I am jealous!

  • Awesome work! Looks brilliant.

If possible can you post in all the items you use in your builds in the video description? I mean each and every little thing :)

    That would be great.

  • Amazing build. Just wondering, do your clients physically come and pick stuff like this up. It would scare the heck out of me to try to ship something like this by ANY available shipping means that i know of. Just wondering?

  • @MrBaracas You have to double box for sure...and get it insured.

  • Quick suggestion, I think you should use the song Strobe or Slip by Deadmau5 for benchmarking anymore. I dunno, I just think Kalimba or Ninja Tuna or whatever it is is kinda bleh and too short. Loved the build, and I thought the dual loops and the color scheme were absolutely pristine. Amazing build!

  • Nice build.. Would prefer to have seen 3D mark 11 and Vantage for benchmarking. It is obvious though that temperature balance is better in parallel for the graphics cards. I will change my own builds' configuration after seeing this. Thanks guys..

  • @DBRMatrix Just remember, there are reasons to have serial and reasons to have parallel. Just be sure that you have a powerful pump in order to run parallel. :) This will ensure that you have enough flow on all legs.

  • Wait, so who are your clients? Bill Gates? hahaha~

  • why not use silverstone TJ11 computer case

  • What about Client Build 5?

  • @VampireGracie Lol client build 5 is going to be an outdated waste of money by the time it's finished

  • What program are they using to design jewelry that requires 3 gtx 580 and 2 xeons? ? -_-

  • @aodknifer The client is using a program called RhinoGold and a single GTX580 would be good enough for that program, but he wanted to game as well...hence the other two GPUs. I also checked with the manufacturer and the addition of more cards will not hurt the performance. That was something I checked on for the client. :)

  • Where did you go to college? What exactly did you study? Assuming you went to college lol

  • @TechhMann I went to a smaller private college and have a Physics degree! haha.

  • Good stuff Trubyd, I know you have some extra fans, time to do a giveaway, LOL

  • how much would this cost?
