Jake, thanks for sharing your project experience. Living in Puerto Rico we can plant and harvest year round. Will start applying your technic very soon. Thank you. Felix
How many plants per bucket did you use? Were the tomatoes determinate or indeterminate? Did you have to fertilize only at the time of planting or did you have to add more to get more production?
Good video and excellent results. One thing I don't hear most folks mention is the advantage of portability. Got a storm coming, move the garden inside! Great feature when you live in the land of hurricanes. Thanks for sharing.
impressive! one of the few "bucket" growing systems showing fully formed tomatoes! how many tomato plants per bucket? im getting excited as spring has just started here in Sydney,Australia.
@riversmusic999 hey thanks for the nice words... as far as number.. i must confess I did not track this and i probably should have... but if pruned properly they should keep puttiing out flowers - more tomaotoes...
if you do it... please come back and update your results for us...cheers, jake
First off your plants out on the concrete are beautiful!!!!! Great example for city dwellers. I am a single mom raising teenage boys so I like to garden to make nutritious fresh food available to them that fit in the budget. Jake I am glad you took the time to make this video!!! My boys and I will be busy making these this weekend.

sorry didn't see your comment until now... I use a basic 'organic' ferterlizer in pellet form - i used Miracle Grow's organic ferterlizer...
most any basic organic plant food should do well....

One of the best examples I've seen on youtube yet! (By best, I mean cheap and easy...) I loved your instructable, also. Now, of to make my own!
