It states in the bible so many places about how Heaven is filled with music, the music that praises our Lord. Music was made to worship, we were made to worship. Do not fall from what God has intended for you, and do not support music that praises the evil things in the world. I am not saying music that doesn't speak of God is bad, no way, most all music rocks. Music however shouldn't praise sin.

You have to believe in scientifical outcomes of scientists that were before you. Science is a little bit of religion. But you can use both science and religion to come to a conclusion that makes the truth. Atheism has caused enough trouble in the world as it is (Stalin, Hitler - they have killed men without the need of religion). The biggest disappointment in religion is that you can´t keep a message which is true to yourself. Religion can´t be attested completely, you have to get involved with!
No. I didn´t mean that. I think that science could also help to understand our world and to realize that there has to be a creator. What I meant was, that atheists abuse science for their "belief" to have good arguments, but most of them are untenable. It seems strange to me that Christians, as such a large group of people, tend to use the same arguments. And they're not very good arguments. The faith in chairs thing is just silly. And the relationship vs. religion concept, while it may be true to them, sounds defensive and contrived once you have heard the same thing from several different people. It implies that there is a lacking of original thought in their culture. And they seem to latch onto unified arguments that are easy to repeat

Shawn is great music-maker. It makes for a great poem attached to nice vibrations in air. But what he does does not become "good and holy" just because it's about Jesus and not Osiris. The origins of the myths found in the new testament were actually ripped off of an Egyptian religion who's God was Osiris. Wikipedia has a great article on it.
Do a google search on "Osiris" and you'll find an Ejyptian religion from 2400 BC (long before xity) remarkably similar to your own.

You have to believe in scientifical outcomes of scientists that were before you. Science is a little bit of religion. But you can use both science and religion to come to a conclusion that makes the truth. Atheism has caused enough trouble in the world as it is (Stalin, Hitler - they have killed men without the need of religion). The biggest disappointment in religion is that you can´t keep a message which is true to yourself. Religion can´t be attested completely, you have to get involved with!

No. I didn´t mean that. I think that science could also help to understand our world and to realize that there has to be a creator. What I meant was, that atheists abuse science for their "belief" to have good arguments, but most of them are untenable. I´m sorry if you can hardly understand what I mean, but I come from Germany and I don´t speak English as mother tongue.

I think that it is just a masked science of atheists, when they try to refute belief, but in reality they have to find a reason for their belief which is also indefensible for real science.

kron.. since when does original thought need to be put on such a podium. Any 'original thought' that you've come up with has had everything to do with past individuals past thoughts. You interpret your surroundings the best way you deem fit and thus make your "original thoughts", but don't act as if there isn't thousands or even millions of people who think the same way you do -- Faith in Chains is silly.. great conclusion? It seems strange to me that Christians, as such a large group of people, tend to use the same arguments. And they're not very good arguments. The faith in chairs thing is just silly. And the relationship vs. religion concept, while it may be true to them, sounds defensive and contrived once you have heard the same thing from several different people. It implies that there is a lacking of original thought in their culture. And they seem to latch onto unified arguments that are easy to repeat

I love this live acoustic version. He sings it with so much passion in his voice you can feel he is singing to the Lord. Just listening to Shawn perform the song gives me goose bumps. I feel Gods presence every time I hear it.

Maybe everybody who prays in the name of some ancient or bronze age deity is living in fantasy. All this religio-ese about "making things new", "god being a gentleman" and "changing of hearts" is just sayings that Churches say to keep your mind of the fundamental question of: "Is our faith really true?".

Well Im non denominational Born Again Christian and no one is forcing me to do anything I don't want to. Maybe it is all a fantasy but My life was so down hill before I found my way back that I'd rather live in a fantasy that keeps my life up than in a world that chooses to push my relationship with God out than live without it. This "fantasy" keeps me whole

Shawn is great music-maker. It makes for a great poem attached to nice vibrations in air. But what he does does not become "good and holy" just because it's about Jesus and not Osiris. The origins of the myths found in the new testament were actually ripped off of an Egyptian religion who's God was Osiris. Wikipedia has a great article on it.
Do a google search on "Osiris" and you'll find an Ejyptian religion from 2400 BC (long before xity) remarkably similar to your own.

I know exactly who Osiris was. He was a green skinned pharoah, many tried to take his thrown and when he died his sister brought him back from the dead by the use of a spell. How does this resemble Christianity? Jesus was resurected from the dead by God and now he lives within me... Maeon u wont understand untill u experience Jesus on a personal level. My God is real he is all he proclaims 2b what a wonderful realization. "its so far Lord ur so beyond me" Shawn Mcdonald ur the man!!!

When you understand the dynamics to why you reject Osiris's miracles of magic spells bringing him back from the dead, you will understand why other people reject the magic spells Jesus uses to do his magic.
How is experiencing Jesus on a personal level any different from "experiencing" other ancient deities older than Jesus like Mithra, Osiris or Dionysus? Isn't it all this "experiencing" stuff just in your mind and can be done with most any religion?

Why would I be laughed out of the room by just replacing 'Jesus' with "osiris" in a common prayer? If all I have to do is change the name of the deity and then suddenly I become delusional, then something is amiss.
