yup, she was 8 weeks when we took her home, and that's the absolute minimum age they should leave their mum. the longer they are with their mum and litter mates, the more socialized they are, in regards to what is and isn't acceptable behaviour as a dog eg biting, knowing their place in the hierarchy etc. and they are generally better rounded characters
