  • Very nice!, The water feature is great

  • wat kind of fern at 0:22?

  • @vespers119 Plumosa fern

  • what do they eat? if its live how do they find it?

  • @CrAzYxHaRdScOpE they eat fruit flies and they have no trouble finding them.

  • @CrAzYxHaRdScOpE they eat small insects like pin head crickets or fruit flies. They find it by looking for it, how do you think they do it in the wild

  • Wow! That looks very nice!

  • thats such a cool terrarium xD

  • poison*

  • Im starting a new pouson dart frog tank got any helpful tips i might need?

    Sweet tank btw.

  • @BrandonThaKid23 high humidity 80+%. Start with Azureus, Leucomelas or Auratus. They're very hardy. Experiment with aquatic plants. Many work great with high humidity--riccia, anubias, java moss, dwarf baby tears etc... have fun!

  • Very Nice, I wonder how you control the temperature?

  • wat type of subtrate do you use

  • @AlbertoMuse I don't remember what I used in this setup--It was probably just dirt from outside. I never intended to have anything but plants in there. All of my vivariums I have now have ABG mix in them with a layer of lecca balls under it.

  • nice viv

what's the name of the fern on the right of the tank?

    grtz jelle

  • @pareyn90 That's a plumosa fern.

  • @secede0

    thank you

how is it doing in the tank?

and does it need much humidity?

check out my tank please ;)

    grtz jelle

  • @pareyn90 It needs some humidity, but can get too much. I've had it in three different tanks and it's done pretty good in all of them. You'll probably even have to trim it down some. You're tank looks a lot nicer than mine. Beautiful!

  • What does it take and how often do you need to clean a vivarium like that?

  • @copperpaint I have one that's been going for about eight months now with lots of plants and four Leucomelas dart frogs. It has a mister that add's fresh water daily and I wipe the glass with a paper towel about once a month. The only thing I have to worry about is letting it get too moist.

  • this is amazibb=ng for your first one

  • you should try star moss my friend its growing a lot faster and better for your frogs :) Luck to you from here :) and nice vid.!

  • Yes, I've looked into that for my planted tank, but everyone says it works better out of water. I'm gonna have to try it. Thanks!

  • Hehe. No Problem :) And Good Luck With It.!!

  • what kinds of plants are in there?

  • The fern on the right is a plumosa fern (I love those). On the tropical plant on the left is a bromeliad. There's pink splash hypoestes scattered around and the moss is wild moss from around a stream. This vivarium was never meant to house frogs, otherwise I would not have used wild plants. Its to risky.

  • @secede0 are they fake plants? if not, how do you keep them alive?

  • @DRFALCOEW im not the person who owns that tank in this video but im pretty sure they are real. i've seen those kind before. they are indoor plants and you just need to plant them in the viv and make sure you have some special lighting over them, i forget what the light is called tho.

  • @secede0 *5 :) cool vid. i have a pacific tree frog and i'm trying to get the tank really cool(this is an awesome tank

  • secede i use black waterfall foam in all my tanks it works wonders

  • I just started on my second vivarium. The black foam is hardening right now. I can already tell it's going to make a big difference. I'll definitely post a video.

  • hey cool tank what type of moss do you have in there.

  • This tank was just an experiment and I didn't really intend to put frogs in it, so I put some wild moss that I found by a river in it. I'm currently working on a new tank that will house dart frogs, and I'm putting riccia moss in it. Java moss also works well. It get's very tall though, so you shouldn't put it everywhere.

  • cool tank by the way

  • i don't know just in case he didn't beleive it was true that i subscribed, i was just saying that

  • dude awesome i subscribed to prove it go on your channel and look for my name!

  • why would he need proof?

  • What do you use to paint on top of the foam?

  • I sprinkled coco fiber on the foam while it was still wet. I used white foam, but I would now recommend black waterfall foam.

  • amazing

  • Thank you!

  • Hey that wood that the water is trickling down, is that in your foam background or being held up by something?

  • The foam is holding it there. It's very secure.

  • Really nice tank. Could you tell me what your background is made out of? I've seen that a couple times and I'm very eager to make it myself :/

  • Thank you! I used white foam from ace hardware, but if I did it again, I would use black handi foam from drsfostersmith. I gotta give credit to Brian though. I used his tutorial to do this first terrarium. He has step by step instructions at brianstropicals in the building section.

  • sweet tank btw =)

  • nice!

  • Do you use a pump for the waterfall?

  • Yes, i put an acrylic back on the terrarium and drilled a hole through it. I wouldn't recommend doing that though. Try getting a craftsman hand drill press at sears for 20 bucks and buy a diamond coated drill bit on ebay and drill right through the glass. That would be the best way to install a pump. Just keep a hose running water across the bit to keep the glass from shattering from the heat.

  • PGFs actually don't need a waterfall. I did the same mistake.

  • That's ok, I wanted a waterfall, although it was a huge hassle.

  • whats a pgf do u mean pdf

  • What is the name of the plant on 00:15, the one with thin leaves, on the right?

    Thank you!

(And congratulations for your vivarium! :P)

  • That is "asparagus fern", a great fern for vivariums. It was very easy to keep healthy and it looks great. Thanks for taking interest in it!

  • It has been a pleasure for me!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us... and yes, the asparagus fern looks great! :P

  • arent dart frogs posinous

  • Only in the wild. In the wild there's something in their diet that helps produce their toxins. In captivity they're completely harmless.

  • they eat an ant that is poisonness and that is wat makes them posionness=)

  • That is one theory and probably the most popular one.

  • wow dat is really lovely

  • thats awsome!

    are those real plants?

what did you make the waterfall out of?

i want to make a waterfall and mini stream for one of my tarantula tanks and could do with some help :)

  • nice viv ! what size ? in cm Please

  • mint tank
