  • could do with some sick vocals... I just imagine meshuggah like vocals going perfect with this

  • @theawesomeest nah too fast I think

  • I think Harvey was a socially awkward guy that one day thought that snorting cocaine would be good for his health, and he ended up cracking his head in the wall

  • @AlMachineKTC It's a drink, but nice story, bro.

  • Purfect!!!!!!!

  • Ugh so good.

  • This is what Dream Theater used to be...

  • this specific song sounds kinda meshuggenah *djent metal* if u know what i mean, chimp spanner is a great project, thank you metal hammer for letting me find this.

  • @Woulv92 Meshuggah*

  • @drumlord159 yeah i know thats the name of the band, im not an idiot, i used the word "meshuggenah" as an adjective to this kind of sound :P

  • @Woulv92 I see what you did there. Clever :D

  • @drumlord159 thanks for appeal bro! :D but im not jew, if thats what u mean by "i spot a jew"!

  • @Woulv92 I didn't say that...

  • @drumlord159 ok now i feel dumb... =P

  • @Woulv92 You're only human :3

  • @drumlord159 yeah xD although sometimes i wonder, this kind of music totally mindfucks me

  • @Woulv92 I spot a jew!

  • Is it possible to eargasm?

  • my head explodes every time i listen to this song, seeing them in a coupla weeks! i think i'm gonna die and go to heaven <3

  • This rocks!! :)

  • @skytigress

    1:50~ 2:50 is freakin' epic. :P

  • Sounds like Meshuggah meets Necrophagist.

  • @Mzral thats a pretty accurate description as far as this song goes lol

  • 85 people are geniuses. 1 person is downright retarded.

  • One word....WOW!!!

  • i want to give this guy a bj

  • fucking djent worshipping little kids

  • @kingcahoj Fuck you, just enjoy the music.

  • @kingcahoj Stop scrutinizing Sub Genres like some self-absorbed know-it-all....I'm fucking 21 years old, and even I'm old enough to understand that it doesn't necessarily matter WHAT it is, if it's good, and involves talent, I'M GONNA FUCKING SHUT UP, LISTEN, AND ENJOY IT.

  • @kingcahoj Someone got raped by their dad this morning and is venting here

  • Paul realy knows how to use EQ properly, I hate when people ignore their bass frequencies, I personally find it harder to listen to something that has had the bass sucked out of it and replaced with a horrible trebly mess...

  • @TheWeemaster Agree completely, very pleasant album to listen to from a sonical aspect.

  • @Airlight what it a sonical aspect?

  • @Airlight tell me what a sonical aspect is...lol

  • @IAMinDreams Hehe, well, I meant sonical aspect as opposed to a musical aspect. Sonical meaning the actual audio spectrum balance, the mix of the instruments, level of compression, stereo feel of each instrument, etc etc. Basically everything that doesn't have to do with the actual musical composition or arrangement of the song. :)

  • @Airlight i really only look at music in a musical way lol, every note matters, its funny that he doesn't know much about music theory and yet it still makes alot of sense in a musical context.

  • @IAMinDreams Hehe, I am more of a audio tech person myself, I can compose, but I generally loose interest quickly. Put me infront of a mixing desk and lots of audio channels though and I'll lose track of time very quickly. Which kind of sucks when a band I like might release something that isn't up to "my standards", as it were. I'd give alot of money to get hold of multitracks of some records so that I could "fix" them, in my opinion obviously. :)

  • @Airlight ty for responding btw lol

  • This has alot of Pantera undertones to it. Rock the fuck on!

  • @airbo0309 exactly what I was thinking :)

  • Where is Neema? lol

  • This music makes me want to punch a cat

  • @swampinpunk182 This song was actually named after his cat.

  • @swampinpunk182 once i read what you said i went a did just that......... shit... what have you done.

  • this shit is AMAZING

  • Great shit by Spanner as usual.

Is anyone else loving that 16th note displacement around 2:08?

  • Toontrack have single handedly made one man bands like this more prevalent, thanks to their incredible drum software. I'll be picking this up as soon as possible. Amazing work. Covers all the bases for me - prog, heavy, amazing leads, tasteful.

  • Holy fuckin god damned shit this is so good

  • I just realized this songs named after his cat Harvey lol. WHAT A HARD MOTHER FUCKER

  • AGGGHHHH!!!! FUC!!!!!!!!1

    TOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOO

  • I dig it!!

  • 0:47 - 1:02 = Sex.

  • SO GLAD i found this band SO AMAZING!

  • @emman1m1 Just one guy, man.

  • Great exciting music. If you like this check out ' Amogh Symphony' and let me know what you think.

  • some pretty amazing stuff.

  • Harvey will never be the same again.......

  • FUCK I LOVE THIS!

  • solid!!

  • the breakdowns and basslines here really put some of the emo/metalcore/screamo bands to shame

  • @KSmoothSaxG

infact it puts great deal of metal whole in shame...

  • 3:48-3:56

    Rips your face off

  • @KSmoothSaxG 0:47 does it way more effectively.

  • so one guy plays everything himself. interesting

  • @21Bouncer he must have a couple extra hands and feet, is this guy a mutant

  • this is sick and sounds very good

  • sick ASS music

  • epic

  • this album blew me away. i bought it and i would have payed a hundred dollars for it thats how good it is. its everything i wanted, and if paul reads this.... please keep it up your amazing!

  • from chile ! Congratulations for the disc. exelent

  • I just pre-ordered this album. So pumped! I've been working on promoting on facebook for this guy. Not cause I know him or cause I get paid but because good music deserves to be heard. I encourage anyone else who thinks so to do the same. The music industry is changing and it's really up to people that support the musicians to make sure they succeed. Unless all you want to hear is another Britney Spears record.

  • @skater15153 - Would you also do this for an unsigned, independant artist, just about to release a self-produced album?

Brilliant work you are doing friend - people like you are the reason i continue as a musician and record music! \m/

  • @kimthebutcher absolutely. If the music spoke to me and the musicianship was good I would for sure. Being a musician and recording artist myself I know it takes fans to get you going.

  • @skater15153 - Great news my friend! Could you do me the honour of checking my profile here on youtube (two examples of my work currently to be released independantly)? My project name is ONAN :)

I can also be found on Myspace/Reverbnation under the name "Tortoise Cult" (my previous project, both solo and with a vocalist).

Thanks so much for your response - it is people like yourself who keep music real and impassioned - thank you!

  • @skater15153 Yea I've been doing the same thing for bands like Chimp Spanner. I've also helped get Animals as Leaders, Masterplan, Periphery, and more of bands like these. Like you, I don't get paid, I just love hearing good music and getting it out to people. It just sucks the majority of people will stick with whats "safe"

  • @stoutmeister91 can definitely appreciate that dude these bands deserve recognition

  • @brandon5pennies Hell yea man, definitely. Don't forget about the musician's on youtube that have talent: NiteSlayer777 and Raidenstream

Those are two talented dudes to check out.

I also have music up on my profile if you get the chance to check them out :D

  • @skater15153 wait....what is the music industry changing into? Are the underground and independent labels becoming more common, or are there more "radio garbage" music industries being created?

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 well no one really knows right now that's the thing. The conventional model of making records isn't making anyone money. It's big tours and merch sales that are making artists money now. No one really makes bank on music sales anymore. That's why people like Jayz and lady gaga have 360 deals with their labels.

  • @skater15153 been doing the same myself man! keep at it!

  • @skater15153 where did u get the album from?

  • @StewartHaasNewman I bought it on Amazon and Zune

  • @skater15153 i comp;etely agree with u there i cant wait for more form chimp hes super talented

  • only 2 views! how sad, this is epic.

  • @Queldo seriously, this is great, PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR THIS!!
