And before you say I'm wrong, look at this:

Pink Floyd only had two Top 40 hits (Money & Another Brick in the Wall)

Queensryche has only had one Top 40 hit (Silent Lucidity)

Ozzy Osbourne has only had one solo Top 40 hit (Mama I'm Coming Home)

Slayer, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, and countless other famous metal bands have never had a top 40 hit

The FACT is that "new world man" is the ONLY Rush song EVER to bust the 'official' "top-40" billboard charts. Sure, "tom sawyer" might be on a list of to 20 hard rock songs, but that says nothing of its popularity at the time it was released. I'm not saying Rush doesn't have many more 'popular' songs, but this track (NWM) is the only official one. Got that?

I've never had a drum lesson in my life. I just learned to manipulate my arms and feet so I can play what I need to. Of course, I've read books and watched a million videos, a lot of which mention Moeller rebounding etc. JoJo Mayer is probably the greatest living authority on that and I've watched his DVD several times. But once again, over the years, I've just found physical ways of playing what I need to. Call it Moeller, but I figured it out without ever hearing about it. I guess it is.

Well, I'm trying to pay tribute to Neil's drumming. It would be hard for me to bring much of my own 'playing' to his songs. I don't have a band who writes original songs and most people aren't very interested in hearing JUST drumming, so it poses a bit of a problem to show my own "personality". But, I AM working on an original drum solo. When it's done, I will post it. Thanks for the comments.
