@cmn8bird427 I assure you it is not a largemouth. I have been keeping natives for 15 years and have fished all my life. I have studied and properly identified every fish I have come in contact with. They are my passion.
@MyNativeFish I have about two inches of kitty litter then I have play sand over that. Don't use play sand.it is too fine and will be stirred up and sucked into your filter. Either use pool filter sand, cichlid sand or collect your own from a local river.
@MyNativeFish I have play sand over kitty litter. And I hate the play sand. I find it in my filter and it settle all over the plants and driftwood. My favorite sand is sand I collect from the river. It has shells and pebbles in it .It looks good and stays in place.
@gusfish1 The only time I had a problem was when had the rock bass in their. Also for the first week after adding the green sunfish I had some problems. Now everybody is has happy and getting along just fine.
@SocalDNM Yes they are real. Their is dwarf sag, jungle val, myriopyllum heterophylum, eurasian watermifoil, hornwort, a native hair grass, myriophyllum pinnatum.I use sponge filters in the least killie and pygmy sunfish tank.
@MisterCatfish Wow. I just looked that up, and that is the most awesome thing ever. Second, that is, to seeing all the awesome fishies in your awesome fish tanks. :)
You've got an awesome set of tanks! The best part is that they're North American natives. I work in water quality and conservation and I've never seen a grass pickerel do anything other than hover at the top of the tank. Your male's got a lot of spunk. I'm getting ready to start a little 10 gallon of my own, thanks for the inspiration!
@MisterCatfish hey I was wondering if u could tell me how u got all your fish. Did u catch them or buy them? If u bought them can u tell me the website of the place? I really want to set up my own tank. Thanks!

Sunfish are aggressive. I've had several of them and they seem to be territorial. Similar to cichlids.
gusfish1 2 months ago
@gusfish1 Yes, some are more than others. I have very little problems with aggression in my tank though.
MisterCatfish 2 months ago

TeamRushPB 3 months ago
@TeamRushPB Thank you! It cost me about $40 a month for electric. I have well water so I don't have to pay for water.
