I could tell stories about growing up in Georgia in the early 80s and listening to what was then fringe music like the B52s when this scene started there was like I think 5 of us in the whole state that weren't redneck's with Lynyrd Skynyrd or AeroSmith T shirts listening to the B52s or Devo back then would almost guarantee a fight with the "heads" over two decades later they were the first to go on my Ipod. Its pretty cool lookin back and knowing you were way out in front of your peers w/music

This is when B-52's were a kick ass band!!! Their energy, showmanship and creativity were ALL at full throttle! I saw them at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit with Talking Heads December '80. INCREDIBLE show!!! Ricky Wilson was very underrated as a guitarist...not a virtuoso but really created a great sound how he tuned it. Wilson basically created the sound that is the B-52's and they aren't the same without him...obviously
