  • I have a small question about this camera, if you could answer. Does optical zoom work while capturing video? Thanks in advance

  • Could you please tell me what kind of video converter you used to convert this video?

I have this camera too, and I'm looking for the best converter which can give the best output of this camera. Thanks in advance.

  • @TheAhdacadabra you don' tneed to convert it. just used th esupplied software to DL, then clip, and there you go.

  • @lubrifycom OK, thanks!

  • يا لبيه يالتصويرررر والله جناان هالكااميرا

  • ZOOM???????????'' MY OLD CANON SD630 HAS ZOOM AND THAT NO?

  • Nice video, but the other thing is that you used your turn signal. Thumps up for that. That is a nice pace.

  • I'm planning on buying this camera, so can anyone tell me, what resolution the pictures are in? And to the uploader: How much memory does it take just for this 1.40 min long record?

  • this is cool, yeah, I mean the scene that you took, not the camera.

  • I am planning on buying this camera soon. Is it a good camera? also, I know this is off topic, but what car are you driving?

  • the camera itself is pretty decent. its no point and shoot thats for sure. it takes stills and video decently well though. you can't beat the zoom-ability though!

98 mountaineer 5.0 (mustang engine) LOL!!

  • Thanks a lot for posting this.

  • @2Legit2Quit187 i dont like the looks at at all so far i like Sony's camera for video quality

  • @2Legit2Quit187 its the windshield.

  • that building at 0:43 looks like Washington High School

  • how much can you film ? can you put a bigger memory on it ? besided 2 or 4 giga ?

  • I never record for long periods of time. I was running a 16Gb card in the cam with no problems. I didn't test to see what the max file length was though. My guess is that there is some finite length, based on the file size. MBs.

  • Hey, that's Warm Spings in Fremont, CA. Thumbs up!

  • Haha that's the old frys building!

  • how do you change the length of the video that you can record. Mine keeps stopping after about 35seconds even tho I have 17minutes of free space :S

  • mustang? nice video. i like how the blue windshield tint adds to the "blue sky effect". very cool, man.

  • what car are you driving? nice sound!

  • v8 5.0 in a mercury mountaineer, w/ headers and exh, and an intake. its basically the older mustang motor. : )

  • hmm.. mine can.

    mine from singapore

  • haha, this isn't even the pretty part of CA. This is just some regular suburb. There are some REALLY pretty parts of CA.

  • where is this place at dude, California or something its beautiful?

  • Does the sound stop while you use the zoom?

  • The US Spec SX200 does NOT allow you zoom while filming. You can zoom prior to hitting record.

  • oh this is sucks

what the point if you can't zoom while filming

  • Comment removed

  • digital zoom works

  • Can you zoom while recording?

  • i think i will get this camera... how is In-Zoom during recording? is it possible?

  • See above... It seems that the "US Spec" camera does NOT allow zooming once you have started recording a video. Some non-US spec cameras may have this feature.

  • with the lumix tz7 YOU CAN

  • it can

  • thanks, I am about to buy this cam... this gives a good impression of the quality.

  • wind buffeting in the car. trying to figure out something for the wind noise canceling. maybe a cotton ball over the mic. I still need to test that.

  • What's up with the sound from 0:50 onwards? It's stuttering and is really annoying.

  • Thank you so much for demo-ing this! I am getting one today! This video really influenced my decision!

  • HAHA,Its an SUV w/ a 5.0 that ford put in EVERYTHING. It has bolt ons with some exh work, personally, its a bit droney, but I guess you take that same sound put it in a sporty car it would be fine, but towing something for 400 miles with that sound behind you, and it can get annoying.

  • what car are You driving? Its like a nice V8

  • I heard it has no optical zoom while filming...and I also heard that it has digital zoom while filming..is that true?

  • fourtionatly it's true

  • Mine will not zoom after you have started to record. But if you pick your zoom point prior to taking video, that works. So you can zoom in, THEN start recording. You just can't change the zoom length once you have started to record.

I have heard that NON-US versions are able to alter the zoom once you have started recording.

  • ye one of the reasons why i went for the Panasonic TZ7, its exposure and focus times are much better too,

  • You can use optical zoom while filming, you just have to zoom in before pressing the record button.

  • I have only looked a little at options to convert. I tried MP4Cam2AVI it seems to work just fine. Not sure if its the best, or if there are better. I have not editted much yet. But when I do, I'll use this one until I can find something better.

  • I have the sx200 IS, and i've uploaded videos to youtube already, but today when I was going to upload another one, this one needed to be edited (chopped up / added music / effects) windows movie maker didn't want to load it.. then I noticed its videos are shot in .MOV which only like 3% of the world uses... apple.

so i've been hunting all over trying to find converters. and i've tried 3, and all 3 have failed me.

have you tried to convert a video to avi yet? if so what program?

  • Nice quality in HD....is looked a little jerky though. Does the original video look that way or is it just my playback? Also, how is the audio and still photo quality with that camera? thanks :)

  • its your computer. the playback is smooth for me. the audio, its "ok" not the best. but its not horrific either.

the camera. in GOOD light, its great. I suspect that its better tan most P&S cameras, but it isn't nearly even as good as my original digital rebel. I not have a 40D w/ L lenses, and its nothing like that, but I wasn't expecting that. it can shoot in low light, but it will be grainy.

  • good quality

  • ma che memory card ci sta montata che va tutto a scatti!!!

    eheh

  • è YT

  • Luv it

I need a camera like this

    Thnx for the video

  • hello

    watch my video please

proov it can zoom while recording HD
