  • Pressups are fucking amazing, I usually start from the diamond tricep pressup, hit about 40, then spread my arms out to shoulder width, do maybe another 15 like that, then spread them out even further for another 10 or so.

  • you should try pike ups for your shoulder press ups.. grreat work tho really like your channel.also i see your pull ups have maxed out at 11 you could try using a band and working higher rep schemes i had some success with that increasing my max by 8 reps just incorporating high rep band pull ups after my max pulls

  • No. The closer your hands are (and with you elbows tucked into your side) the more you target your triceps until you get to diamond ones that really hit the triceps. With a wide grip you're hitting your pectoral muscles (chest). Doing an incline wide grip press up with your legs up on a chair will hit your upper part of the chest muscles.

  • not really. you need to use your arms to do press ups not other parts of the body. by using the stomach or other areas as well takes some of the pressure from the arms meaning your not working to your max!

  • no its not, the correct way is to make sure the distance between the floor and your chest is an upright fist's distance, you will damage your bicep and tricep if you do your push ups while touching the floor with your chin

  • Yeah I'm doing a course in public services and we do press ups every day we are taught by ex marines, ex army and other PTIs you only do a press up so your chest reaches an upright fists height of the ground.

  • i assume they do, as the musle tissue grows under your breasts your boobs will look bigger. And remember the wider your hands are apart the more you work out your breast muscles instead of your triceps.

  • not really. male breast features is obviously fat so you need to do cardiovascular exercise to get rid of that fat and slim down.

  • Not necessarily. The females breasts are made of fat and muscle tissue. Pushups alone will barely increase the size of the muscle, while everything else is up to genetics.

  • you do know that you are only meant to work out one body type eg the arms once every 24 hours becuase the muscle dosen't get a chance to build

  • Forgot to say its like one day you work your legs the next day the arms, so they get a chance to rest and build.

  • Not particularly, I'm afraid. Different sets of muscles and different type of movement. Rows and lat pulldowns might help; also negative pullups (downward part only).

  • if u have a chin up bar just pull ur self up to it so your chin is inline with it the hold as long as you can then slowly let your self down youll be able to do pull ups in no time

    It's a bit like mountain climbers and alternative squat thrusts or skull crusher and french press - same exercises, different names!

  • I do 80 normal ones X 3 sets before workout ..but tht is not the point..correct form is important. The key is to not let the momentum take it over....do it slowly while going up and down - even 4 sets of 40 each would be enough.

  • Well the good news is I was pleasantly surprised to find I could actually do a few. I'm trying to build up my max pushups a bit at the moment. 32 normal ones so far but think I can do 40+. I haven't tried the Power Over puship yet. I'll wait till I have one of those "feeling really strong" days. Thanks again for your inspirational video.

  • Pushups and pullups work opposing muscles so one won't literally "help" do the other. However you can alternate sets of each in a superset.

  • I did a max normal push-up set the other day which was 51.

    I don't usually train max sets but that was part of a one-off fitness test. I think if you train max sets you can get way more than 50-odd!
