Siberian Tigers is 4-4.5m long and can weight well over 400KG. I had a privilage to see one at the zoo with a weight of 450kg. It looked so massive, bigger then an adult bull and had pure muscles and veins showing out. Such a massive animal, they look ok in video but when you see them in real life they are fucking huge.

For anyone thats debating on wether a tiger can kill a grizz or not, i think its POSSIBLE, but i'd go with the bear 7-8 times out of ten. They're bigger, stronger, and surprisingly fast and have fast reflexes for their size. They also have endurance, they can swim for miles. Their hides are very thick. At the end of the day, i would still say it would be a great fight.

First of all, a 500-600 pound ADULT MALE brown bear is a little below average when it comes to weight. Siberian Brown bears, in the larger size, range from 700-900 pounds. and no, bears are not 100% carnivorous, and since they feed on things other than animals, it's rare to find a video of a bear chasing down and killing another animal. And if the bear is chasing something such as a deer, they really dont have to swipe them, once they catch the deer, the sheer weight and bite is enough.

I'm not saying it CANT happen, but Siberian Brown bears have a far higher chance of, and do, kill tigers more often than the other way around. HellFighter, Siberian brown bears and siberian tigers are similar in Size. Both can weigh from 150-320 kgs. As tigers are pure predators and carnivores, there are more cases of tigers killing brown bears exist than other way around. Although both are evenly matched, siberian tigers will have slight edge, as they are more agile and have better weaponary. However, I do agree larger Kodiak, polar bears will have advantage over large tigers, simply because of their large size.

The is an EAST siberian brown bear, but it doesnt live in the tiger's habitat. anyway, it is the Ussuri bear that lives in that area. Still, bears are known for wrestling/fighting for any little thing, while tigers are NOT. But Tigers usually ambush bears, that would explain it...

However, people are mistaking the siberian brown bear of being the same size as its "cousin" the grizzly bear - which can be 2x the size of a siberian brown bear, but even then grizzly bears can be 50% smaller then polar bears (just trying to get in peoples head that theres diffrent sizes of bears).

The tiger must deliver the fatal bite to the neck/throat to kill their prey, and in the case of the Brown/Grizzly bear, their hide is THICK with fur and fat. If the tiger somehow DID get to the throat of the bear (the whole time the bear is beating down on it with immense power) the tiger would have a hell of a time biting through this thick hide to fatally wound the bear. The tiger is simply out matched genetically.

A Eurassian brown bear is on average 500lbs, whereas here is british columbia you can find brown bears weighing 1200lbs. Another example of this is that one video of a tiger killing a mugger crocodile, this has lead everyone to believe tigers own everything. But in reality put a 600lb tiger against a two ton crocodile, I give the win to the reptile.
