I would be surprised if Sega actually looked back on this idea and actually decided to remake it into a better 3D game. Redo Vector to his "slimmer" look again, and god can only hope his voice >_>; I wouldn't mind seeing Mighty in a newer sonic game, bring the old characters back and STOP making new ones =.=

The 32x was an unsightly and dysfunctional upgrade to make the Genesis what the canceled Neptune was going to be. This game, however, is awesomesauce.

This is probably one of the few 32X games that rocked, along with Kollibri. Great game and the ONLY game in the Sonic Universe, besides the 2 Tails Game Gear games that didn't feature Sonic at all and where Knuckles is the star of the show.

This also marks the debut of team Chaotix and sadly the one and only game where the Armadillo character made an appearance. I guess Sega didn't like the guy that much. Cool game and possibly one of a kind. Too bad 32X itself was a failure.

Also, the music sounds strangely different to the KEGA Fusion emulated version. Did you recorded this from a diferent emulator or from a real Sega 32X?

Sega still had the rights to Mighty, just like they did with team Chaotix (who appeared in only 1 game until Sonic Heroes).

Only, what can Mighty, Ray, and so on have in uniqueness to contribute?

Mighty = Sonic's old design down to his personality, with red look. Reused as Knuckles, then Shadow.

Ray = Tail's old design. Appeared in only 1 game.

SegaSonic the Arcade probably is sort of the earlier version of Sonic Heroes, down to the color themes.

Actually the reason it was named 32X is cause it used 32 graphics on its games, Genesis could go up to 16 bit graphics but when 32X came out, it could go up to 32 bits of graphics.

They named Sega CD because it used CD's. Same thing with the 32X, they name them this way cause of whats inside them.

Knuckles Chaotix graphics were far superior to the Sega Genesis Sonic games. 32X graphics went up to 32 bits, while Genesis went up to 16 bits.

Though i think that the 16 bit games (with the exception of stuff like Spinball) look better, they look more... fun and colorful.

Then again, maybe i just don't like Sega's Technical Institute look and feel.

32X was a pile of shit. But Knuckles Chaotix was probably one of the only decent title worth purchasing for it. If you could get the unit to work. Because most of the time it didn't operate properly.

Memories.. I played the crap of all the Sega MD Sonic-games. So i liked the idea, that Knuckles gets his own game.. But i was kinda disappointed. I really hated the idea to be bound to your partner. And the stage design.. :/

I get my games at PlaynTrade. Although I don't live near one... I find one at the web site. That's where I got my Sega cd and sonic cd. However, the 32x is much harder to find there, I only found one three states over, and it was broken, so they wouldn't let me buy it.

I have to disagree with all you who say it's good. I got this game for Christmas 12 years ago. It was not a good game at all. The rubber-band idea was awkward with all the tugging between you and the other player, tugging and holding each other back . Very little challenge. Huge meandering stages with almost NO ENEMIES WHATSOEVER to fight. 2-player games were difficult to cooperate and made snap springing and spin-dashing together too hard, resulting in shouting fights with your little brother.

Oh I mastered it in 1p. It's easy but it takes several seconds to stretch it back. I liked Sonic 2 better where you could just spin dash to speed in 1 second. Here, the AI would release his spin dash later than you, fall behind, and his tugging would hold you back.

I'd rather play Virtua Racing Deluxe or Kolibri.

Yes, this is his debut along with the rest of Chaotix detective team, the color changing is due to his chameleon nature.

His design was a bit weird in this game (too unemotional), I guess that's why they redesigned it in Sonic the Fighters and then Sonic Heroes.

@EdMan6623 you could go to google and type in sonic roms and click on the first result go to games and then the emulators if u want to play knux chaotix click on fusion download itthen go to other download knux chaotix and another thing fusion is for the genesis,gamegear,mastersystem and if u want to select knux chaotix click on genesis and select it in the rar or the extracted file thats how u get games like this
