This is a great monitor! Took a while for me to configure onboard speakers and subwoofer due to the lack of detailed included instructions (which can be downloaded from the Asus web page) but with a $100 discount, this is probably the best monitor I've had in a long time! I am impressed and I've had a *few* monitors over the years!

and also samsung have screens with 3000:1 contrast ratio (226bw or 2232bw) and i know another screen with 5000:1 ratio... this is not the best 22"

Theres no real test to determine what the monitor actually has for a contrast ratio. Most manufacturers cheat and make it too good to be true. most 2000:1 are closer to 1000:1, or less. They just put 2000:1 on the box because they had a test model able to do it... once

that's a good option. I'm not sure how you would then get the sound out of a game console unless that connector also had audio cables on it as well.
