where did u find this? i am 53 yrs old and have loved this show forever but never even knew about this movie. where is it from; what year was it filmed? thanks so much for posting! sorry no caps but only can use 1 hand.......
Why do they have to put that stupid aimersoft trial version thing in the middle and ruin the screen for the whole movie. That's todays world of thinking. They wouldn't have dared to ruin the Most important thing in the past decades. THE SCREEN!
I love those two... It's too bad Desi stepped out on her all the time. I did watch in an interview with Desi that they still remained best friends and even played cards together on the weekends. :)
@Bobmob25 Wow, thanks, I had no idea about that! One more question, I was watching a different video and it was about Lucy wanting an advance on the monthly money she received from Ricky's will. Did Ricky die? I mean before the series was over?
@pianoluvr100 No Desi died way after the series was over. I would have to do more research before I could answer honestly about why that she was requesting money from his will because Lucy was the one who made the majority of the money. When they divorced she bought him out of the company.
@Bobmob25 Ohh, it might have been just for the show. Because in the show Lucy was asking for an advance to get Little Ricky a bike for his birthday. Thanks again!
There is such a comfort watching older television...50's etc. I agree with the previous comments to the fullest. This was a time when there were no cell phones, laptops, swearing (not on tv at least lol), not sex-crazed, and worried about "bling bling" as its called now. This was a time when you could sit down as a family and half good natured laughs. Nowadays, even cartoon movies warn us that there is "mild adult humor"...smh! Bring back the 50's (and the time before that) lol
I Love Lucy...:)I wish she was still around just so I could congratulate her on what a wonderful and very extraordinary job she has did and has done for young people like ourselves.
I only found out about this rarity a few days ago. The connecting footage was completely original, but the rest of the movie were three episodes edited together. It had a test screening at a small theater in Bakersfield, CA (which was attended by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz). The reason why it was never released was because Lucy & Desi had signed on to do "The Long, Long Trailer" and, depending on which story you read, either Desi thought they'd be competing against themselves.
@desilucyfan me too i love this show so much! my sisters and i used to make fun of my mom for watching the show so much, then i started to watch it and i was hooked!
I've been watching this show since I was in elementary school, I've seen every single episode and I still love them all, lookin forward to that one day when I can buy the entire series <3
Lol, I'm 15 and i watch this show all the time. Its sooooo good. I miss these kind of shows, the new ones are just ehh. idk. The old shows like this are just so much better I don't care what anyone says.
I Love Lucy! Were Lucy and Desi getting along at this time? Did anyone notice as desi went to sit down when and they were about to film the show (around 6:02) wonder what she said to him......
Jgknight… thank you so much for posting this, I've never seen it! I happened upon it when i was looking for a clip of the opening of Breaking the Lease, where the four sing Sweet Sue. (previous poster account deactivated,) Here's the dorky part… I have paused my TV half way through "The Business Manager" to watch this. Thanks again!
@butterfly199980 I agree totally. I stopped watching TV a few years ago. Lame TV shows, movies and commercials with no creativity that insult my intelligence. Ugly dark and grey screen formats. Bad color. with too many long depressing medicine commercials I love a lot of the old commercials! I just watch youtube and DVDs now.
I love I Love Lucy but honestly I think Ricky is a jerk, as Lucy's husband he should try and help her pursue a career in show biz instead of always pushing her down.
Just thinking being in that audience make me smile really big and get me dizzy and make me want to stand up and cry happy tears when I would see Lucy walk out! I can only dream about the day where I can be in the audience of I Love Lucy in the presence of my hero, role model, and some times she can be my best friend ,Ms. Lucille Ball!!!
@Jeffieboi i think it was game and rubber. i was around the same agetoo when she died, been watching this show as long as ive been alive and now im almost 30 omg,lol.....
I'm so honored that I was alive in the same time period Lucille Ball was...even if I was 5 when she died......And at 6:20 did Ethel just say "Gay man rubber"?...
imimpressed, so young yet you like this, i love it too, and stilla t a young age i watched it, kids these days wont watch it unless color is in it . or cartoon like, go you ^_^
I have never seen this before. Wow, This is some of first things that made me laugh when the world was a much bigger and brighter place. And the personal lives of celebrities were much harder to find and published for the whole world to read about. Yea and a fist bump to the person that person that posted this. !
@princessjazy99 I think you can get the whole series at Target. I saw it there a few times but I usually got a series for my birthday every year until I didn't watch them so much.

@warrenj95842 isn't it wonderful that we can share the best shows ever with our children and not worry about filth or swearing? Our societies morals have gone to the dumper
@257ls wrong. this is the movie. It was 3 season 1 episodes put together with new never before seen scenes to connect them to make it look like a flowing movie and not just 3 episodes put together. They were going to put the movie out and make it final, but they decided to shelve it, b/c by the time they were planning to release it, Lucy and Desi where in a movie and they didn't want I Love Lucy movie to take away viewers from the other movie.
@jeffdon4 I have the I Love Lucy complete series on DVD and it comes with the bonus disc. But it is quite expensive. I believe you can buy it online seperatly.
Other than a "sneak preview" at a theater in Bakersfield, Calif. in early 1953, this was never officially released {MGM insisted it be "shelved", because Lucy & Desi were under contract to appear in "The Long Long Trailer"}. This "movie" was actually three first season episodes of the TV series with new "transition" sequences, framed by a simulation of what you might have experienced as part of the audience watching the show being filmed at the "Desilu Playhouse" (at General Service Studios).
I'm seventeen and i have all the I l Love Lucy Seasons on DVD!!!
