@123liverpool100 There is no specific oil flag, but a Red and Yellow striped flag indicates a substance on track that could reduce grip or cause a car to loose control. It is also only used for a couple of laps, after which the less grippy conditions are seen to have become part of the track for that race.

The doctor is still an official of the track, I think Edwards may have already told him that he doesn't need a doctor, Colin is one tough son of a gun. Forget nudging someone with your elbow, if that were me and flags weren't going up I'd see heads roll, that can cost a rider much more than the race, it can cost his life. Edwards was furious and rightly so.

@NealeinMI There's no point in showing the oil flag if you're just gonna leave the patch on the racing line and expect the riders to go around it..

That marshal post should have alerted race-control that there was an oilpatch on the racing line whilst showing (not waving) the oil flag. If they had some common sense, they would have stopped the race. Only race-control can issue a red flag and say the words "red flag" on the radio, that to avoid confusion amongst the other marshals.
