A perfect road movie. The soundtrack is so so so poignant. I love Eva Cassidy's voice and arrangement. She sings as if she realises the dreams of the Woodstock generation were just an illusion and that generation was just as capable of messing the world up as any other.
this reminds me of the 2 yr relationship I had with a guy who lived in Key Biscayne .. I remember the scenes in this video so vividly -- I miss it there...he was a very special person in my life and I will always be thankful for what I shared with him.
magic together. the video with the song. thanks for showing good example what a "moment" is. a moment when time stops and the world feels more magic than it really is.
just when i'd thought i'd heard all of her songs, another comes along and astonishes me with the beauty of her voice. Thanks for the video response. Also, i've added this to my Eva playlist.
You'll find Woodstock on her "Time After Time" CD, available in most record stores and at Borders and Barnes & Noble. I think there's about 75 Eva songs -- I have 47 of them on my iPod. Gorgeous stuff beyond description. I think she's the best ever - by a country mile!
Yes, she's awesome. I can't think of any female vocalist who can compare. Dinah Washington, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Shirley Bassey were all wonderful -- but no one could sing so beautifully in so many genres. Her voice takes my breath away.
You're so very welcome. Cassidy is my favorite. The beauty and soulfulness of her voice never fails to make me cry. On my iPod are 47 of her songs. No one compares to her. What a loss.
Thank you so much for this particular version .
Eva is an angel isn't she.
I'm a fiercely loyal Aussie fan
I agree her voice is a country mile ahead of all others.
Whats more she was a fine example of what a woman should be.
Too few even know who she is,even today.
So much better than most of the vacuous stuff that substitutes for music these days.

"incomparable" fits perfect....1 : eminent beyond comparison : matchless
2 : not suitable for comparison. thank you kindly for posting this!

Brilliantly stated. Actually, incomparable isn't perfect, but by our standards it's pretty gosh darned close.
