Any distraction makes driving unsafe. Radios, mp3 players, texting, looking at your phone to call somebody.  They're ALL distractions and they ALL put somebody's life at risk. I hope you don't do that.

@GalacticCollision One can text safely while driving. Hold cell phone up. One letter, look out. Another letter, look out. No differenthan looking down at your speedometer or checking rearview mirror, then looking up athe road. I never text, but I do telephone. I hold the telephone up so that when briefly focusing on it, I am also seeing ahead. Then I look ahead. Most of my cell phone numbers are auto-dialed. I speak "Call ?". Then it dials the number. I also usearbud.

I'm a 25 year transit driver--He's wrong to handle hid cel phone unless he's at his terminus--Having said that--a lot of passengers and public hate bus drivers. They don't realize sometimes we get no breaks all day and deal with fucking morons all day. yes good people to but a lot of fucking low-life shit rats as well---Quit picking on transit drivers assholes! Greyhound is trying to by into Peterpan, bus the orignal owner signed a lifetime contract with the original greyhound stating greyhound can not break the contract or by them out without paying all owners of peterpan millions of dollars for their portion.

Im sure Bolt bus has some type of policy about the use of a cell phone while driving a Bolt bus. But possibly not strict enough. Most local transit authorities have a zero tolerance when it comes to using a cell phone while driving a transit vehicle but I dont know how it is with Charter companies.

If I ran BOLT bus drivers would be fired the first time they used a cell phone while driving period. Either texting. Phone to their ear. Or even a headset of any type. Its dangerous and can get someone killed. I always file complaints on any bus driver I see using a cell phone while driving the bus to their designated company. School, transit. or motorcoach. I did rat out drivers of 3 Transit Authorities and 1 charter company for using cell phones while driving.

I disagree. A paying passenger has the right to expect a safe bus ride. A driver who is texting and not concentrating on the road puts everyone in danger.
