If you want your daughter to be really good enroll her into gymnastics, not cheer leading. Sure it's much much much much harder work than cheer leading but if she sticks it out she will go much further than any cheer leader would. Cheer leading teaches bad form and don't teach the kids the fundamentals. Gymnastics is much more slow moving at the start, but once the basics are down (with good form and power unlike cheer leading) you kid's abilities will double by the day. Where as (CONT)

with cheer leading she will progress quicker at the beginning. However, since cheer leading doesn't teach kids the basics first she will hit a certain point (normally a double twist) and not be able to do any more just she doesn't know how to control her body. Believe me when I say, tumbling at 2 is the WORST way to prepare for a career in acrobatics. Like the saying goes, patience is a virtue.
