sound good. You'll be surprised how well made intercom speakers are. I have a pair of the Radio Shack 8 inch wall speakers that I use as small open baffles for a 5 watt micro bookshelf system. They completely blow away the speakers that came with the stereo.
Very nice speakers. I still have the grill exactly like what you have from a speaker that I once had back in the 80s. Unfortunately the speaker had to be removed from the grill because it had a crack in the cone and some of the mounting pins were broken off, however, I might be able to have someone cut the remaining pins off and then drill holes for a bolt mount style, hopefully without cracking or spliting the rest of the grill. I'll show it to you when I get a chance to get it from storage.
@ddl312 70 volt line has no bass? i tried a speaker (Songster CAT-3150WU) and a cd/amp (DMX Music Prodisc DS) and they sounded exactly the same! in fact the 70volt line sounded stronger!
hey man, ever heard of the deptford mall? i'm sure you do since you don't live too far from there. well, they have those same speaker on the ceiling, but i believe the ones in the mall are from 1975 because thatz when the mall was built. yours was built later like you said.
I use a bogen C60 classic series amp, its 100w. For the outside speakers I have 4 bogen pa horns, sorry don't know the model numbers. And also i have 2 realistic pa horns, there kinda old. Then in side we have 12 KLH sat. series speakers.
the first speaker you showed us, we have those at JC Penny and Sears

Does the amp have Vocal Priority?

Your probably going to want to use the tranformer and an amp made by bogen like the clasic sieries.

I'm getting these from a closed Saturn dealership tonight. They might be a little different, though. My dad told me they're pretty old.
