Look at modern shooters. All the SAME F*CKING GAME. Same cover based shooting, same dull repetitive environments, same long constant cutscenes same everything. And there's a lot of people who hate them. look at this game. Keeps the flow going with no cutscenes/cover, changes a lot even though it's set in Egypt all the time (only tfe), and everyone who's played it loves it.

The Serious Sam games are just simple, well-made pieces of FPS fun. And they've always looked amazing, thanks to Croteam's awesome Serious Engine. There are more astounding games out there, but I'm always surprised just how memorable and entertaining these games are. Looking forward to SS3

speaking of which, painkiller and serious sam seem like brothers almost. both are pychotic shoot em up action games but one is cheery about it while the other is darker and (dare i say?) MORE serious?
Is it possible to disable the chrosshair scaling in this game here? I need a steady chrosshair that doesnt move or zoom in/out, when you move around and depending what you're looking at.

@ROLL4ROCKn I'm not sure its popularity really matters. Madden is incredibly popular, too, but are those games really all that great? I agree completely with what Cinj said about the repetitive and boring gameplay. That is Call of Duty defined. Enter an area, enemies pop up, kill them, move forward. Or activate a scripted, on-rails event. It's always the same thing with every game, and I'm not even sure I'd call them "good" games. To me, they're average at best.

IS there a way to turn off the slight auto aim? I find that annoying on FPS on the computer. Especially the extreme auto aim in Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

@ArashRezaee it is mindless, thats the best part. its good release from all those tactical fpss. its kinda nice to play a hectic ass game relying on just your aim and reflexs. it makes me think of it as a 3d version of the old contra games on NES

Does anyone agree that the headless bombers are the scariest enemies EVER? Goddamn their screams keep me up at night. Which makes no sense since they don't have mouths. Which somehow makes it even more terrifying

IS there a way to turn off the slight auto aim? I find that annoying on FPS on the computer. Especially the extreme auto aim in Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

Ah, I remember playing the original version. Twas awesome. I'm glad the game got all these graphics, so that it looks more appealing, tho I wish they actually worked on SS3 instead of re-doing old games.
Then again, this might be a way for them to increase budget for SS3, who knows.
