I notice he mentions nothing about the good things HC reform does, such as:

- closing the doughnut hole for seniors

- eliminating seniors co-payments for preventative care

- letting insur. co's compete across state lines

- prohibiting insur. co.'s from discriminating on the basis of gender or pre-existing conditions

- preventing insur. co's from dropping your coverage if you get sick

- eliminating the insurance benefit caps

- mandating clear language in insurance plans

Why not?

Those worthy items can ALL be accomplished without the gov't taking over the system. Nice talking points you got from the DNC, but misses the entire point.

The insur. co.s have been in control for decades. The GOP controlled the white house for 8 years & for most of that controlled both houses. They did nothing to fix any of it. If this HC reform bill does not pass, do you really believe you will see any meaningful reform? The system is in crisis. People are suffering and dying from lack of access. Meanwhile, Republicans keep exploiting peoples fears of "big gov't" & "high taxes" to smear HC reform & block it yet again.

Did you see the election results from Tuesday?
