  • I Love This Diana Ross Song From 1982, Which Was A Top 10 Hit In America.

  • Excellent. She's the best ever!

  • I saw her live during this period in Motown. she had a great way of reinventing herself and showing a great range of talent. This was some of her best stuff, By the way she was as good live as in video production. I was lucky to have front row and she was incredibly beautiful too and very composed and professional.

  • And this is the key to success...

  • i think she really wanted to do rock... she starts mixing the loud rock guitar in most of her music at this point. one problem: it doesn't match her style or voice. leave the loud guitars to your old flame gene simmons diana.

  • What in the blue hell is "black rock"? If so then logically there is a "white rock"? Sheesh, it's just damn good music.

  • #2 US R&B and #8 US R&B in 1982! Fantastic funk-rock joint from Ms. Ross!

  • I remember when young hearing this song on a long intercontnental flight in the early 80s along with H&O "I Cant Go For taht No can do." After all these years those where the only 2 sutck in the head from all the songs they had in their sequence. A complete classic one remembers from actually being there- a real time capsule tune.

  • i love this song. what a great melody.

  • This song was the jam back in the day...1981!!

  • my dad is a huge Ms Ross fan and thanks to him i know every Diana Ross song ever recorded lo.. she is the original Diva!!

    Timeless and irreplacable.

  • Ms.Ross, the diva herself is... ummm..."FLAWLESS!" As for her talent, well lets just say her music speaks for itself. I think she's AWSEOME! Gene1536 just how many no.1's have you had? thats what I thought. Ms Ross is a Queen, had to be something there to make you come and comment..LUV YA Ms.Ross !

  • This song is a great 80s "black rock" record. It is one of the best fusions of funk and rock to hit the Top 10. For the record it hit #2 for 3 weeks on the R&B chart, kept out by her friend Stevie Wonder's "That Girl" (which was probably written about Diana!) I do think that if Rodgers & Edwards had produced this song, it may have been even better.

  • The instrumentation is fantastic. Play the song with the volume mid-range and you can hear so many different parts.

  • this was one of my childhood favorites.
