  • see you guys on saturday!

  • needs to be faster but otherwise aweesome

  • very pacey and tight, well done, i loved it,

  • great job

  • How much to play at my 40th birthday in Birmingham???

  • I'm French, from Toulouse. I said "Goodbye Toulouse" 20 years ago.

Great cover guys. Any chance to see you in Paris ?

  • having listened again chords at 29 and 30 seconds aren't quite right, a bit off key but I still love it

  • @WAWELDRAGON Yes, you're right - first rehearsal, a couple of bum notes. here and there. :D

  • 'I've seen the Stranglers over 30 times. The first time in Oct 1977 at Top Rank in Reading, when Heroes was still in the charts.

You guys have captured the keyboards fantastically. Very impressive there. The guitar sounds almost better than Hugh Cornwall. Your Bass player is up against trying to imitate JJ Burnel. Enough said about that. But the drummer? Jet Black was unique. He also had skill with using his high hat.

  • pure pants :) ure avin a fuckin laugh hehe .. me 2...

  • hahahahahahaha OK Good job .

  • You guys have my favourite Stranglers song spot on! Only the drums lets it down (mainly the cymbals) but I'm sure it's the recording.

    Good luck!

  • sounds great. really captures the spirit of the original song. Respect :)

  • great guitar solo, and the tone, nice. What amp did you use for this song? I'd like to add also, it must be nice to have a keyboard player that knows these tunes and gets that sound. It's hard enough to find just a regular keybordist, hehe.

  • The amp was a little Marshall valvestate, but the tone comes purely from the Telecaster treated with a bit of crunch.

As for the keyboard player, one in a million doesn't do him justice. :-)

  • most guitarists would kill to get that tone out of a tube amp. Nice, very nice.....

  • Don't listen to them... you guys are great. Weathered... tired, a little dazed... but tight and wonderful. Well done mes amis.

  • LOL, we can't help being weathered and tired- a little like the Stranglers themselves- owing to the inevitable passage of time, but your comments are much appreciated, Rocky. :-D

  • Good effort, Great bass, guitar and keyboard, Cymbals sound like bin lids though !

  • as a moses gate regular a stranglers trib has been missed since four more heroes. i know its the same keyboard player i always say hello at stranglers gigs. see you in august. please learn genetix,i can play it ha ha ha.

  • Been in a few bands over the years wi Bob. He has a certain finesse for nailing the EXACT guitar sound for any song or artist! But must say his forte is Stranglers, think he must've shown Cornwell how to play. These guys will be awesome, sooner see em than the Stranglers (never the same since Cornwells departure)All the best lads.Jep.

  • w0ah How'd that bassist get that sound? Please tell me

  • Nice work Shaggy!

C U and Seb at a UK gig sometime.

    AL

    USA

  • Love this band will see you at the dove and rainbow in sheffield in april keep on going lads.

  • Hey guys, not bad for a first rehearsal ; I'm a French stanglers fan, born in...Toulouse !

Do you sing 'bring on the nubiles' ?

  • better than the stranglers live videos, great

  • You can't sing, you can't dance, you look....AWFUL!

    You'll go far! :D

  • Was looking for good quality recordings of songs from rattus-these are spot on. Are you doing any gigs-cos it looks like I cant get to the stranglers buxton gig-this would make up for it.
