In all my training at university - studying science - we were drilled to never use the word 'fact'. In science, there's no such thing. There's only the best theory with the most evidence until the day something better comes along.

I'm not siding with either side, but I'd think that if christians were morally worse and more criminally inclined than other groups in the united states, then the prisoner ratio of christians to other groups would be higher than 75%

Another example: You drive across a bridge. Is it faith that the bridge will not break? No. We're quite confident in bridges. Why? Here's the simplified version of how it works though: Humans and chimpanzees share a common ancestor. And that's just human evolution. I do hope this explained how it really works and cleared up your misconceptions.

evolution is not why we are who we are. how can you say that we are just like every other billion species every to have or have been. our brains cant be explained by evolution b/c to say 1 out of 1 trillion species have these unmatched brains is not believable odds. i say we are have ape/ have science experiment. not to say any religion is true. the truth maybe out there or just not allowed to know.

@jrjtuber actually the genetic evidence certainly does indicate that evolution made us who we are today. you do realise that we can still see where chromosome 2 fused together right? how many pairs of chromosomes do monkeys have? 24. humans? 23. furthermore if evolution is false why do we have bacterial dna in our mitochondria that has had most of its genes switched off? do you think god got drunk during creation and thought 'yeah ill stick some bacterial dna in there for the hell of it'

If you really want to know so bad read "The case for Christ" by Dr. Lee Strobel and "I don't have enough faith to be an Atheist" by Dr. Frank Turek. Both books written by ex- Atheists who found the truth in researching christianity. There you go have a nice day. (I have a life and won't sit here going back and forth in this on going debate)

It takes no faith to be an Atheist, it only takes patience and the realization of evidence against "God" in order to be Atheist. Faith is the belief of something(s) without any evidence supporting it, which completely contradicts Atheism.

@minniecarey the case for christ? does it explain the fact why no-one seemed to mention jesus going around performing miracles when he was alive? its only many years after his death that all of a sudden jesus was this great figure who was the son of god. the gospels were written between 60-110 years AFTER the death of jesus by people who were not there. no-one noticed him when he was there. so tell me why should we believe these accounts which are not even primary sources?

2.We have historical documents that speak of an intangible GOD. And in particular a man who died for the sins of the world that claimed to be GOD and know the very nature of a supernatural GOD. And there is evidence proving the validity of his claims. So if he was right then....

And if it had the evidence you say it has it could disprove that there wasn't a supernatural GOD. All it proves is that there is few common ancestors between humans and animals ( we also share chromosomes with mice, guess we all evolved from mice too)

I'd like to see a well educated christian call in and make a fool out of these people. Try picking up Frank Turk's I don't have enough faith to be an atheist. The same claim about not being able to prove that GOD exists can relate to your claims because you can not prove that a GOD doesn't exists. GOD is intangible, incomprehensible, and goes against any earthly theories.

2. 'God is intangible' etc.... - How do you know? He only has those qualities if you first grant that he exists, which is circular logic.

In all my training at university - studying science - we were drilled to never use the word 'fact'. In science, there's no such thing. There's only the best theory with the most evidence until the day something better comes along.
I think a lot of atheists could do with a bit more open-mindedness and stop talking about 'facts' all the time, cos to me they sound like people talking about a flat earth.
Actually, I would like a flat earth.

They ended up killing 250,000 Christians in northern France alone. So here are atheists killing theists, to acquire an atheist society. These people thought it would be reasonable to have a society free of believers.
