@CoolWat3r79182 i take it as more a of a 'defeat' song; it could apply to any sort of struggle, mainly emotional. the best line "swallow the knife, carve the way for your pride" ; alot of times people won't swallow their pride and give in or let up for sommeone else, it's hard to.

but swallowing the knife first helps your pride go down, helps you in the long run. the rest of the song lyrics kinda follow the same things, just listen close.
