  • I need chords like now dude, this is awesome!

  • look around...I wrote them in a reply somewhere. enjoy!

  • very good, brother! very nice indeed, liked it very much! keep it up

  • great version

  • This is amazing! I don't think I've ever heard this transcribed to guitar before. Do you mind sending me the chords? It'd be awesome to play since I don't have a piano or anything. Thanks!

  • look in my replies...the chords are here somewhere among the comments

  • call me crazy, but i really want you to cover some My Morning Jacket.

damn fine cover man... damn fine...

  • do you like reverb?. jaja. thanks for the chords. now i play it in guitar and piano! sayonara!

  • Can you give me the chords plis? I love this song and I can't find the chords... thanks

  • I wrote them in one of the comments...from like a year ago. click on "view all comments".

    ;)

  • Wow, something really haunting about this, I love it. Great work.

  • Let me say again how simply fucking beautiful this is man. You are truly fucking talented.

  • i like the reverb on the vox

  • great job. thanks for the chords!

  • I could never quite figure out what he was saying at the very end. I've discerned "Never Turn Away. And I want to say." Im pretty sure I'm wrong could you tell me?

  • This is what I found when I was learning it so it kinda got stuck in my head although it makes no sense: "there were ten in the bed and the little one said roll over"

I wonder what the real lyrics are though. hmmm.

    thanks for the comments!

  • its because the album is about peak oil..."roll over"....

    does that clarify?

    this is a beutiful cover

  • actually, it's from a nursery rhyme

  • Did a great job especially considering you just learned it and its a freakin' THOM YORKE song. I like that yo didnt try to sing like him but retained your own style kudos.

  • You come off the Eb a bar early. Keep it there, then move down to the C#.

    Good stuff otherwise. =]

  • there's actually a lot more mistakes than that one...I made the mistake of recording this within hours of kinda figuring it out...I might redo it sometime...then again, I'm lazy and it's just a cover anyways...hehe.

thanks for the tip though. ;)

  • Really good, beautiful!

  • Nice work!

  • its a happy cry =] u wish u knew my sister. haha. great voice though.i sing too.but i dont wanna put me singing on youtube. <33

  • for some reason this makes me cry.and i think my sisters in love with you =]

  • thanks for saying that. hope it's a "happy cry" or a "hopeful cry" as opposed to a "sad-wanna-slit-my-wrists" cry. =P

do I know your sister? jk

  • wonderful.beautiful voice.

  • I can't stop listening to this cover. Beautiful.

  • Nicely done. You've actually manage to make it sound decent on guitar...but IMO less reverb (possibly on all your covers) on vocals would be nice...but once again, nicely done

  • nice work...for a firstish take that was excellent...your voice has a lovely falsetto....man keep that up....i love rich reverb, it just sings...you know? nice. keep playing bro.

  • what a great cover of a beautiful song

  • swell

  • Beautiful.

  • wow

this is great... surprised by the singing, it's beautiful too. thanks for posting.

  • nice one my friend....very spacey reverb.

  • what stuff do you have your mic plugged in to?

  • can't remember now...I think I could have had it plugged into the guitar amp as a secondary input and using the amp's reverb. hmmm...now I'm curious cause I seriously don't remember. hehe.

  • I clicked on this expecting to hear something terrible. I was completely wrong man. You did an excellent job. Kudos to you. A lot of kudos!

  • yup...the "0" as the actual first fret.

  • Well done! Would you acre to share the chords or tab please?

  • click on "view all comments". the chords are posted there somewhere.

    thanks for the comment!!

  • Yeah, see on the chords, are you treating the "0" as the actual 1st fret or zero before you've applied the capo?

  • Wow, bit too much echo (as you say) but otherwise bloody good.

  • Man, I was looking up home brewed covers for a good laugh, and stumbled across this one...expecting something terrible from the description...and then was extremely impressed.

Kudos! Nice work. On another note, I don't think that the phaser was in any way overkill. It worked nicely.

  • whoah man... that's nice. Works really well on guitar. Blows my cover out the water :)

  • VERY nice man!

  • any chance of sending me the chords mate?

  • they're here somewhere. click on "view all comments".

  • very good man, thanx for chords!

  • whoa awsome cover what are the chords for that?

  • as wonderfull as is simple

  • Congratulations... very cool covers. Good job... Congratulations...

  • wow man, the chills...

  • Great!

If you could sing like yourself and not like Yorke you'd be famous.

  • wow...that was nice....really nice

  • nicely done :)

  • You can play the songs straight into some kind of recording gear, without using the speakers. Play along with pre-recorded stuff with headphones. That should keep your neighbours sane. Hopefully the police wont show up, and youtubers will get to hear more radiohead covers from you. All of them are relly good. Planing doing "There There"?? Its my fav!

  • ...Wow. I like!

  • dang you need to get some new neighbors preferably radiohead fans

  • yup, i agree with many here, you made a really good cover for it, a guy with a keyboard could back you up even better...

  • my absolute fav song ever!...note my name lol!

well freaking done. like bluesexplosionrob i got addicted too the live vid.

    fabulous

  • Good job man, good job, I say hello, from Peru :D

  • I became addicted to watching the live video, and I actually listen to the album version before I go to sleep. I'm either obsessed, or in desperate need of learning to play this song! Would you please be so kind to send me the chords you use? :D I think the magic of youtube allows for Private Message things, does it not?

  • click on "view all comments"...I have the chords posted there somewhere. ;)

it IS a very addictive song...I think it has become the main reason to have a capo near my guitar. I love going like 8 extra bars repeating the last line...it's hard to actually stop singing the song.

  • really great job! i love radiohead and thom yorke. this is my favorite song on thom's new album and your cover is amazing!

  • This is really good. You have captured the feel of the song and you sing pretty well.

I hope you will keep working on the song and add your best take in the future.

  • you're actually really good, haven't found anyone yet who covers radiohead songs and does them any justice but you. you sound so much like thom aswell

  • lol

    great one

i didn't know that song, but it sounds great so i'll download it...

    well done!

and you really sound like thom on this one...

  • ummm...don't forget to buy the album though. lol

or ze police will get you!!

  • vocals are amazing. sound very much like Thom, though I wish you'd take the reverb down just a bit.

  • yeah...I agree about the reverb. I did notice it was too much and took it down but I completely messed up the lyrics on those takes. it's kinda hard to get a good take since it usually takes only two tries to get my neighbors pissed. Apparently they don't like music...of any kind...in fact...I think they don't like sounds in general. ;D

  • really cool, loved it.

  • Before going on to the outro I stay on Cm for like 4 bars (although 8 bars is probably better)

    Outro

    Cm x35543 (4 bars)

    F#?? x44320 (2 bars)

    C#?? x43020 (2 bars)

    Fm?? 033004 (2 bars)

    Fm?? 033000 (2 bars)

hope that makes any sense. ;D

  • Here are the chords I use (sorry for my lack of technicality but I don't really know some of the names and I'm feeling too lazy to look them up):

    (with capo on 1st Fret)

    Verses

    C#?? x43040

    C#?? x43020

    Cm x35543

    Cm?? x35343

  • almost forgot...

after that 2nd Cm (which is Cm7, I think)...I play this:

    Cm?? x35043

I think I did that same Cm progression on the outro although I think Cm7 alone there might work better.

  • Nice cover ! What chords do you play ?

  • can you post the chords progression?

    good work!

  • i really likied this..i didn't even think you could do this on guitar.

  • If you or anyone else likes I could send you the chords I used. It's definitely not very accurate but it's good enough to sing along with and it's actually really easy with a capo on the first fret (you can't see on the video...but it's there...trust me). And I'll make sure not to put that damn mistake before the 3rd verse. *slaps himself in the head*
