Dura canción para un hombre que sabía que dejaba este mundo material pero sobretodo a Dahni y Olivia, para mi es dificil escucharla, solo le agradezco a George su legado musical y espiritual. Hare Krishna
This is just a gorgoues song such haunting and sensitive words. This song sends waves of thankfulness through me that George blessed us with his music even those his time was short.
I love that even at the end of his life, he was thinking about Krsna, "the only thing that matters to me is to touch your lotus feet" this song makes me cry, cause we can see exactly what he went through. Hare Krsna

man the more i listen to george's music he must have went through a real down period.. poor guy, good thing he had the luv of his family to get him over his hurdlez..
This song gives me so many feelings,it makes me feel happy, sad and soothed. It's such a very beautiful song.George's voice is beautiful and soothing as always <3 I don't know why but this song brings tears to my eyes.R.I.P George,I will always love your music,I will always love you <3
I think it just shows how truly musician George was- writing music his whole life from childhood and through the time he was dying. You can't find a more spiritual honest musician than George. I'm sure he's rocking Heaven with the God he praised so much. RIP
"Ringo" fans.... In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
one year back in the late 70's George was voted by RollingStone mag as the best slide gituarist! This proves it! I can't understand why some people can't understand the words to this song. If you listen to George enough you get his accent! lol Also he is definetly talking about Lord Krishna! If you knew George's history you would know this. I miss you and always will. Isn't it a Pity.
@marycreeves that's cool that George was finally voted best at something- hes always on the list of top guitarists in general but random other people always beat him at being in the top few. I also cant believe people dont get his accent- I love his accent its so unique.
because when i here him say in this song "i lost my will to eat"(i think he means hes too sick to eat), "i wish i had the answer to give but i don't even have the cure" (hes talking about how he wants a cure) "talking to myself" and "never been so crazy" as he means he never felt so sick from dieing from cancer
OK PEOPLE WHO WANT TO KNOW THE LYRICS i'll try my best never slept so little. never smoked so much lost my concentration i could here and loose my touch (course) talking to myself crying out loud only i could here i'm stuck inside a cloud verse 2 not made some exhibition i lost my will to eat only thing that matters to me is to touch the feet (beat) (course) verse 3 never been so crazy but i never felt so sure i wish i had the answer to give don't even have the cure.
George. the sadly underated beatle.maybe that sounds disrespectfull. but you never heard about him.Heck i was 17 before i ever heard his name(1983)I knew the others names but not his. an older guy asked me if i new all the beatles names. I didnt know george.I like the songs he wrote in the beatles the best
george is my only beatle i love after they broke up
i love george so much in the 70s and 80s
george and john are my favorite beatles i always seem to love them so much and the same. but i only love john when he was young and in the early beatles from 1960 to 1966 but george i love him with and after the beatles
Is that Norah Jones kissing Dhani on the cheek at 3:02?(For those that aren't as big a fan as I am,she's the daughter of George's sitar teacher.)If so,it's likely that Dhani and Norah knew each other as children.
wow, you had an image of george with Srila Prabhupada just as george sings " the only thing that matters is to touch your Lotus Feet" which refers to Krsna...very very nice video.
I tried to keep away from his last job, pretending nothing has happened but things find you anyway. An excellent cd (loyal to his style but updated at the same time)
this is my fav song from brainwashed, my dad died the following year from alzhimers. each time i hear this song i think of him loosing his memory and being stuck inside a cloud thank you george i will always miss the both of you
lovely video and lovely song. what saddens me the most is that when john died, i think that there were still so many things he hadn't worked out about himself. george died peacefully, and knowing that his death was only a new beginning. rest in peace, my friend.
Only George could write and record such a beautiful song as he was conscious that his time was limited. The slide bits and the melody, the lyrics, WOW. I was so lucky to be an avid fan of his for 37 years that he was making music on this side of the pond and for the last 8 years in the shadow of his legacy. Thanks for the memories George...
PILES.. yes, I would have to agree w/ you.. I think this tune clearly shows what a great slide player George was. . I would also say he was certainly underrated as a Slide Guitarist. Wonderful Singer, too!
@pilesovinyl Can we be honest for minute? Look, I liked George the Beatle but frankly, his voice never lent itself well to solos. It's strangely weak...almost effeminate. His compositions suffer a kind of awkwardness. His lyrics are stilted and often, predictable. If this were poetry, it would be deemed BAD poetry. Sorry. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I've noticed this effort by some people to elevate George's status in music beyond his real talents.
@thegrinchl7 Have to disagree with you but I always enjoy the exchange of opinions. There were admittedly some songs (and albums, ie Dark Horse) where George`s vocal strength was not there at all, but he always had the best British accent of the four and I loved to hear him talk or sing and always loved his guitar playing, often understated but always recognizable and tasteful.
@thegrinchl7 George's style is all his own, I personally love his voice well beyond the other Beatles. The softness is nirvana to the ears, poetic, and beyond inspirational.
@thegrinchl7 Just ur opinion ,dont mean nothing after i listen to his songs and lyrics , ,but if u wanted to be that rain at least that u did acomplish,,,peace
@thegrinchl7 It’s nice to exchange opinions but if you don’t have anything nice to say some opinions should be left unsaid unless they are asked of you. When you give negative opinions you are being sarcastic and just trying to get people agitated. If you don’t like Harrison, that fine, go to another place.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@beatgirl64 What you would like, but cannot have, is your very own ECHO CHAMBER. A place where everyone agrees with you and where nobody dare introduce anything uncomfortable. Kind of like the church and the inconvenient truth that priests are molesting children. I actually like George. In fact, unlike Lennon and McCartney, he projects a very real person. Approachable and almost sad. He's a mediocrity who struggles with music. Little wonder you like him. He reminds you of YOU.
@thegrinchl7 My statement still stands, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. No one asked for your opinion. George is deceased he does not need a critic. Out of curiosity, what was the purpose of the negative comments, anyway? And another thing, you don’t know me so you don’t know who reminds me of me. I definitely disagree with your statement about George’s struggle with music. This will be my final statement. You have a nice whatever.
@thegrinchl7 Mediocrity is the last word anyone would associate with George. While he struggled to match John and Paul's prodigious output in the early 60s is true, as he himself said ...
@anourag It's not worth responding to the cobblers that thegrinchl7 posts. He's a mean-spirited and rather sad individual who has some sort of hangup about George Harrison. For some reason he enjoys posting snidey negative comments about George and trying to excite debate about them - in short, a wind-up merchant and marginal personality.
@pilesovinyl only got to be a fan for 23 years but that counts the time in the womb and the years of listening and wearing out my mom's record (yes, records kids) collection. I am proud to say that the very first music I picked and bought for myself was cloud nine. I love this song. It's beauty brought me to tears the first time i heard it, and still does. Listened to it for a month after a miscarraige two years later. Hope my baby girl gets to hear his beautiful songs in the summerland. Peace.
@ociee117 I thought it might be too personal of a moment to share for awhile. Thank you for your words of condolence. You are probably right. She is probably sitting at his feet listing to him play all kinds songs. Knowing my Clara she went right up to him and said, "Hey, I know all your songs." lol :) That thought makes me smile. Thank you.
burner, I got two things to say: first, I am a Budweiser drinker too and second, it's all good, man..........you're here and that's all that matters. haunting song. period.
jesus man, this is unbelievable! absolutely love this, sorts your head right out, like watching the wheels go round by lennon, its class! love the way harrison sings too, soft, calm talking voice! a beaut!
****CRYING**** How do you do the moving video stuff? I hope to make a video like that sometime... this is one of the nicest ones to him I have ever seen...
I think it is about when George was an flight somewhere and there as a queue to land, his plane came to a halt in a cloud and was there for two hours, hence "stuck inside a cloud"
as this song was released 22 years after lennon died, i doubt that is correct. especially considering that he released several albums between lennon's death and his own. most likely it's about his own death.
Yeah, I think you're right:) I had heard that he wrote it for Lennon somewhere, but as you poited out it's probably a song about something closer in time.
Why do people think he's singing about his cancer? That doesn't sound like something George would do. Smoking too much? He stopped smoking many years before he got cancer.
superman11798, I couldn't help but laugh at your comment, lol. :-) It's funny that some George fans were so in the dark about his spirituality for most of his life. Either they weren't Beatles fans or they didn't know that much about him. This Brainwashed album is outstanding, and this single is another favorite of mine too. Love the slide guitar!
Not sure why so many George Harrison fans are anti-Hindu.
"Touch your lotus feet" - he's talking about God there. Why so down on different religions from your own? The most hilarious thing I read was George fans talking about how he was finding Christ right before his death. Talk about brainwashed...
listen, they all made wicked tunes together, and some went on and did better songs onthere own like this one. makes me wanna cry every time though i never do. lol
This song rings with truth.

'When the power of love overcomes the love of power, only then will the world know peace' - Jimi Hendrix.
Well; George did his bit to promote love.
God bless you George.

I think it is about when George was an flight somewhere and there as a queue to land, his plane came to a halt in a cloud and was there for two hours, hence "stuck inside a cloud"

I believe George wrote this song after John was killed. It is a tribute to him. Love both Harrison and Lennons music! Amazing and moving music;)
FilipM1 3 years ago
as this song was released 22 years after lennon died, i doubt that is correct. especially considering that he released several albums between lennon's death and his own. most likely it's about his own death.
sempriniwalrus 3 years ago
Yeah, I think you're right:) I had heard that he wrote it for Lennon somewhere, but as you poited out it's probably a song about something closer in time.
FilipM1 3 years ago
george died in 2001, so he has recorded this song 20 oder 21 years after johns dead, not 22 XD 2002, the single was released as a promo-single
rudebox87 3 years ago
This song was released 2002 out of the last album Brainwashed...this album was finished by Jeff Lynne and Dhani after George passed away
Blessings
sertenin 3 years ago 3
I don't know when it was written, but I'm guessing the song has something to do with:
1. the first time George and John took LSD
2. when George had failing health and in his own words "almost suffered a nervous breakdown". That was mid 70's.

RoseByDesign 3 years ago 3
Anyway, enough of the youtube squabbles, this is a friggin' beautiful song.
superman11978 3 years ago 6
Not sure why so many George Harrison fans are anti-Hindu.
"Touch your lotus feet" - he's talking about God there. Why so down on different religions from your own? The most hilarious thing I read was George fans talking about how he was finding Christ right before his death. Talk about brainwashed...
superman11978 3 years ago 9
Namaste :)...though I believe music goes beyond so called religions that are just human ways to use power over other humans
I'd say Hindu is more a collection of sacred traditions and philosophies
Cheers

i think it's the use of the slide on the guitar (like he has in like 99% of his songs, but this one is just similar to MSL)
