@bimmer881 If weed was legal, it would not cost $10 per dime bag. It would be like buying the same amount of basil or rosemary. You would pay $5, plus the $2-3 for the dime bag, and still get it for less then it is now. Their would be pre rolled joints, and some with and some without chemical treatment. As you can by a pound of tobacco, and roll your on cigs if you want, as could you buy you weed and roll you joints. Legalization would bring more choices not less.

@Loathomar You do understand that the Gov makes far more off of tobacco than manufacturers? So what weed will cost will be entirely up to politicians. They will make the cost absurd and there will be a black market. The only way to end the drug cartels is to build the wall with Mexico & have it out with the border cities - for Canada, legalize & set the price reasonably - if we don't do that, we will just have a black market problem.

@ReformBarackObama So there will be a black market and cost will be controlled by the black market, which will be the same or less then it is today. The tobacco is the prefect argument that there will not be a real black market, a pack should cost under $2, but in NY they cost ~$11 a pack, yet their is no real black market for tobacco in NY. So people leave the state to buy, but most just pay. The government will likely want to max it profits and price it where the black market is not large.

@Loathomar Well a cigarette is not all that easy to make. It's not like a cigar where you just roll tobacco and that's it. the Modern cigarette has 599 up to allowable additives. For example the use of ammonia basically converts the bound nicotine molecules in tobacco smoke into free nicotine molecules. (in drug cultures this is called freebasing) What I'm saying is, that people don't want tobacco they want cigarettes. Weed is too easy, that is,unless you want to unleash the chemist.
