@DaniTyranecia same person. moya just changed the spelling of her name to moya because non-irish people kept mispronouncing her name, and then dyed her hair blonde because the grays were starting. not quite the same quality voice, but her music writing skills are better than ever.
First time I heard this song I reckon was about 7 years ago... shit I feel old, what an amazing piece of music - when I was 7 it still inspired me, although at the time I didn't know what for.. now I know I have a passion for writing and this song's still inspiring me :D
Have this on Celtic Circle 2, love it. When I loaned it to a friend, I had to warn her about the song, because it starts louder and faster than the song prior: Aye fond kiss.
This song gives me lightning in the veins! Always reminds me of standing on the cliff top facing into the wind racing in from the sea. Thanks for posting it.
reminds me of Dylans dark eyed lady of the lowlands... like some raven standing at my window with a broken wing.
Yes please stir my blood. It needs mixing right now! When I resume my 10 year wanderings around the around the world I will make sure to energize myself with songs like these.
blessed be to irish druids

@shamrockgerry oh, yeah. I guess that explains why there's no crime or social injustice in Ireland. Oh, wait...

Hipnotic energy. I'm not irish but I can sense the power of the simplicity in Maire's music. Thanks Maire and Clannad, forever in my mental jukebox.

Her tremolo is very rapid. I liked the percussion, too.
