this is such a well-mixed album. hard to believe fagen and becker think it sounds terrible. apparently the noise reduction technology failed but the recordings were rescued. however it wasn't good enough for them. well, as i always say, it's not all about you, don and walter. denny IS the band. also jeff porcaro is great on this album
