  • @NNAWGS Note at the very end he makes a broad circle with his light, which is the "OK" symbol in low light conditions where you otherwise wouldn't be able to see the hand signal for it.

  • can someone tell my why turning off a valve is usefull please (i'm just a lvl 1 diver) i'm just curious ^^

  • @overdosed10 say f.i that one regulator free flows. Instead of loosing all of your air you can close the regulator's first stage. It can save your life.

  • so the side to side flashlight thing is only when he's closing the valve & not when he opens the valve back up yeah?

  • To attract attention from the dive buddy(s). The objective here isn't simply to isolate and get out, as I may have a fixable failure, eg bubbling reg connection that just needs tightening. A buddy will be better placed to see the problem and fix it whatever it may be, and so the dive can continue instead of always aborting, Therefore attracting attention from them is part of the GUE drill.

  • Nice example of valve drill
